thank you! I am not yet paranoid enough!
Paranoia involves delusions and irrationality and/or ideas of self-persecution with no real, factual, or reasonable basis. When you got facts, court cases, Congressional investigations, documents, trials, etc?? Not paranoia. The problem is when it is so connected, even tangentially so, that the "situation" is so broad that people, not informed, cannot believe it or, maybe, by circumstance it appears so connected (it could be, simply, that criminals of any sort, at some point, do business with each other by happenstance or circumstance- not, necessarily, in a pre-motivated way.) But then, again? The INSLAW stuff has always fascinated me and one of the first of the "high-tech," back-door hacking type of things....and much was documented- if not ever, really, "solved."

I recall that town was offered for auction but no takers? It is sad to see (happens here also) but also sort of cool that one could "buy" the whole town, and sometimes relatively cheaply. Sometimes some dot-com type buys them here and it works out. Other times it doesn't. But if I had the cash it would be sort of cool- if I couldn't afford one of those crazy huge ranch sales like recently happened where you own whole counties.

I've seen one old haunted "Ghost Town" preserved like that, and it survives on selling tours.  I like to think they could survive by maybe just adding a camping ground, and picnic area.

Bomar, was this episode primarily about the BLM?

Brig,...

It was about the BLM abuse on a Montana Museum and individual personal collectors of things found on the ground, in their immediate areas and how to fight back against the government funded bureaucracy...

If your main interest is BLM abuse, start listening about halfway through, 1:22.30 ...

Very interesting...

Place like Luckenbach survived and others ghost, or formerly small dying towns, around here have done it by having a bar or bbq joint or something and especially draw bikers (mainly yuppies etc on bikes- you don't want to, necessarily, draw the Banditos!) or making markets, artistic stuff, wineries, wedding venues, etc. Something to draw tourists and weekenders.

But places REALLY out there is it a lot harder. I think families don't take those long road-trip vacations as much any more and if you are not within an easy drive of a city, or at least National Park, it is going to be tough going.

Everything is A-OK on the home-front...

Just, the simple fact, I can not find any farm help...  Believe it or not, kids these days (Whites, Blacks and even the Hispanics) don't want to work on a farm...

Good to hear.  The unavailability of people willing to work is a problem nation-wide.   At the risk of sounding like an old crank, I got my first SS card when I was 13.  That was the age when you could get a job in agriculture and I worked summers picking tobacco along with adult contract workers brought in from places like Jamaica, Barbados and Puerto Rico.  Did that for three summers along with hay bailing until I got a job in a Walgreens Drug Store as a soda jerk when I was 16.  I said all that to say I was always eager to earn a few bucks.  My kids all had part time jobs in high school.  I don't understand today's youth.

It is troubling. Even minor jobs for some cash they won't do or express no interest in (mowing a lawn, shoveling snow, helping someone move, etc) much less actual jobs. I've heard that kids don't even want to drive- they will just Uber whereas when I was a kid everyone would be doing whatever odd job they could to try to save up for a car. And apparently when they graduate they assume every business is like a "dot com" high tech firm and want high positions or instant high salary, not work their way up the ladder or pay their dues. Get off my lawn! I guess every generation says about the same thing though. ;)
