Just watched the Pats post game show and Belicheck said they wanted to kick.  WTF?

WTF indeed. I can't figure it out. perhaps cockiness had something to do with it.  The Patriots have beat up on the Jets a lot  in the last 5 years. Even when it's been a  close game, the pats still win. Usually because of a weird play (or flag) late in the game. this time the tables were turned in the Jets favor.
Bill Belichick outsmarted himself today when he instructed his player to defer in overtime.

They only need 1 points every 20 seconds to tie it!

I think BB is a closet Art Bell fan and has been shaken up by recent events.

So when the Rams beat the Seahawks that will make the 3rd QB that the Texans cut that led their team to an upset today. Fitzpatrick, Mallet and Keenum.

And instead of picking up Tebow as a backup QB, the Texans sign a wide receiver from Seattle (Daniels) that played QB in college and use him as a QB sub. Go figure.

I really have to wonder what kind of cooties Tebow is infected with.

Whoo Hoo! Just finished watching the Broncs/Bengals game. On to the playoffs.

And Osweiler cemented his place in the TigerLily Cute Guy Bowl with that post-game interview. What a sweet tall glass of hotness

wow..Chip Kelly..fired..buh bye Chip
Can't believe they fired him now. Why not wait till some other teams in collage or NFL made an offer for him. I think Tenn woulda offered money or draft picks or some collage would have bought out his contract but now I'm assuming that Philly has to pay him.

its been on the local sports network for liek 3 hours now lol word is Lurie wanted to strip him of some of his duties..Chip balked...Chip also yesterday during media day or what ever said he wasnt the GM..and i think i read some where this was also mutual ..but not buying that..lots being said about him having lost the locker room...this team is a total mess right now ...

They may or may not owe him the balance of his contract.  He may have mutually agreed to leave now in hopes of getting a jump on another job (like Jim Harbaugh in SF last year), or depending on the wording of his deal he may not get the full amount if he lands another job (like former Cal coach Jeff Tedford when he got fired there)

Either way, it doesn't count against the cap and they can now start looking at some attractive NFL assistants they may be interested in.

I hate the Oregon Ducks, I'm glad he failed.  Too bad they can't get back some of the players he dumped.

I will have to go read what the guys at the Philadelphia Enquirer have to say about his contract. As for his moves, the Tebow situation was weird. I don't have a prob with him getting rid of McCoy and hated how Kelly's moves were deemed racially motivated. That said I don't think he would have lost the team if he would have cut Riley Cooper.

Chip's ego got Chip fired...he felt he could do no wrong and was the smartest guy in the room...his problem was he jettisoned good players..not getting equal replacements..and he didnt adjust...after his first year..while still explosive..the offense got figured out as this shows

With one week to go, Jaz is still in 2nd by 1 point, and we are all still getting beat by Bing.

That is a pretty telling graph. I agree he is an ego maniac but so is Belichick. I disagree about getting equal replacements (I.E.) Murry-McCoy, but agree he didn't adapt his style to his players. But more than anything he didn't have a QB and that was his biggest blunder.

McCoy was the only one he had gotten a suitable replacement for...problem was her traded Shady for ..a Former oregon player who was coming off a bad injury and all year never..played well...he let Maclin walk...without getting someone who could step in..and let go 2 o-lineman with again..no replacement or drafting of them and put down a 63 million dollar contract for a guy who was a product of a Seattle defense

I loved the Eagles backfield and I hate to say it but if his offense was led by a "Chip Kelly" QB you can get by with sub par O-lineman because the plays are fast strikes.

perhaps..but it wasnt ultimately sustainable in the NFL..the defense cant constantly be on the field for 40+ minutes a game

cweb

I was so happy to see that ridiculous "Chip Kelly" offense wear out as other teams figured it out. It was also nice to stop hearing about him being a genius or whatnot.

Of course, now we have to hear all the lazy journalism about him reuniting with Mariota...

WhiteCrow...you pick the game.

Hmmm thanks for heads up,  Gabreille. But I have to wonder what trick you have up your sleeve this week?

We pick the game in the live NFL chat room.

Although you have it right, because I won last week, I get to pick the game, in the live NFL broadcast chat room.

I'll see you in the chat or if you are not there, it goes to default betting rules.
