So thankful they have the "ignore user" option on here. I don't come here to see posters (newly registered July 23rd!) discuss porn nor do I care to read a whore's desperate response to it. Such mindless discussions could not be *further* from the realm of Art Bell topics. Wish they'd find a different forum.

Did I hear Art say to a caller during (I think) the second hour that they were going to be doing something on the weekends ???  :o :D

thanks to saucyrosie [...] living here in Northern Ireland [...] Life is indeed wonderful.

I'm just going to hang back here and think about things and stuff for a bit. Y'all just go right on ahead, don't wait up.

Revolting newbie post.

Someone doesn't understand the tongue-in-cheek analogy.  Shame.   Being a 25-year AB listener, I've always thought of his followers as some of the most literate and creatively verbose in all of talk radio.   Apparently, I forgot that, even in this "elite" circle, there are some who aren't part of that group.   Que sera sera.

Finally got to hear the last hour. Loved the bloke from Northern Ireland who chased himself as a young man and didn't realize until he looked in the mirror as an older man and saw the white haired, black bespectacled man he chased years ago. Great story.

Now, more than ever, I want the antichrist and reptilian lines.

Absolutely perfect timing. Great picture! *Waves back*

That was a great story.  Another other good one was the guy who witnessed the dancing when he spent the night at that archaeological site.

Another good one. How many old Irish tales especially talk about seeing the little people dancing, and how many stories are there of people who are captured and either never come back or come back years later thinking it was only a few hours. Jacques Vallee told Knapp he was interested in these stories as a possible link to modern abduction stories. It'd make a great show for Art.

Listened to the archive today and enjoyed Jazz's story and the motorcycle time traveler. Not a fan of open lines, though, the hit-to-miss ratio is pretty grueling. Art is definitely hitting his stride, though, and I'm really glad to see that (and looking forward to Periscope when I can watch live).

LoL
Pretty mouthy with the "newbie" crap!  Clearly mouthy enough for both commentary and boasting you're excitement for your ignore button!

Why don't you just let the man in charge decide what's inappropriate or better still ignore the batty posters.  Clearly assholes will lose their way out of forums without your negative overtones.  I ignored the loser until you made him post even more garbage.  Read back through the volumes here and show me where long time posters saying the most disgusting shite were banned and I'll sell you a London Bridge!

He isn't winding down, he's spent. "Isch whover" and he isch the only one who doesn't know it!  Well he does but won't admit it. He's been finished since he first started...what a talentless ass.

As long as we're focusing on Canadians, where's the Ruuuuush?

It's unfortunate that noory uses one or two of their songs. If I'm not yet on your ignore list, what Ruuuuush song(s) would you suggest, or prefer?

A little disappointed that Mr.Fidget didn't use his phone phreaking skills to call in. Though he mentioned there might still be some bad blood between him and Art due to his perceived slight that Art wouldn't detail the business/legal problems he had with the Fidget. But it would've been fun, especially if he called in from a payphone (if there are any of those left) and got random people on the line to verify it. "Riveting radio" and hilarious when that happened.

Keep loling at the "anon" guy.    Love me some /r/tards tryin to sound like they represent the collective.  "Anyone who says they are anonymous, they aren't"  Then goes on to try and explain where he's spent the last 10 years of his life watching underage porn and anime. Tryhards tryin so hard. Say "buy and large" some more jackass.

Id rather have heard Moot from 4chan on his show. That would have been awesome.

Still an awesome show after that fruitloop.    And JAZ got through !!!   Needs more time traveler batshit crazy callers to call up.

Art is a master.
George, pack it up buddy.

The thing, to me, about anonymous (and be extension at bit also about Wikileaks, Manning, Snowden) is that proclaim to be about "justice" etc but they always are going after our countries (USA in particular) or simply hacks into local police departments, etc. We have problems, no doubt, in our countries but likely not as much, at least over all, compared to other countries. Why don't they hack or leak China, N.Korea, ISIS, Russia, corrupt African regimes, more on the bank accounts of our politicians (or foreign dictators) off-shore accounts, Iran, Israel, TPP, TIA, UN machinations, Mafia, 'Ndrangheta, Russian mafia, details about Big Bank LIBOR, money laundering, etc etc etc.

And I recall they talked "really big" about hacking some of the Mexican cartels. But QUICKLY backed off and nothing came of it after a few bloggers (probably not even associated with Anon) got their heads cut off. They talk big but hack stuff like Hollywood star sex pics, movies and games, or local PDs- in other words juvenile stuff and likely relatively easy.

Truth.   I remember those people gettin cut up too. Gnar story.  But I still would have like to heard from someone who actually participates in those "hacktivies" And explained to Art how alot of that 'anon' crap started on ebaums/somethingawful/2chan/4chan imageboards, with habbo raids, and other random social media attacks. Then thirsty ex bf/gf's trying to get bruteforce/ddos/doxer  to become their "personal army". And go after Myspace/facebook pages.   Then FF a couple years and fox plays some DUMB shit about anon and then it snowballed out of the imageboards and out on the net.

The caller is the cliche version of what "anon" has become.  "take up the guy fawkes mask.."
There's a term for those type of people. I wont use it here but trust me, he's late to the party if 'this' was his origin story.

Anyway, he's a boner.  This motorcycle time traveler guy has more credibility.

Love this show.  Wish it was longer

I remember Mr. Fidget from back in the day. As I recall, he had sent some of his fidgets to Art and then called in from a pay phone. Art posted a picture of the thing on his website; it was made from a few links of bicycle chain. Art let him give out his number on the show. The guy collected money for a bunch of fidgets, and either was seriously late in delivery or never delivered them at all. Listeners were calling Art to complain.

JUST got to listen to this. Without the mentions of cellphones and skype, it would be hard to distinguish this from ANY classic open lines show. I'm blown away.

Art did interview Dennis McKenna, it's in the big torrent.

Art always used Amboy Dukes' "Journey to the centre of the Mind" when interviewing them :D

I've only listen to the first 4:40 so far but I'm laughed so hard I now have to pee. good stuff so far

Exactly what I was thinking, this was an awesome show.  Everything just seems to be clicking so far, MITD has already exceeded my expectations!

Grateful nobody quoted me over a batty situation.  I hate being quoted as is and none of it was worth responding to!

On a cooler note.. Art Bell is back soon!
Can barely wait for another time traveling week at the mere cost of a dollar twenty five 🍦

Ha! Yeah the motorcycle time traveler was pretty interesting, wasn't it? Well, just so you know....that caller (the motorcycle time traveler) called into Bella-Haven after Art's show and we had a long, detailed discussion about his experiences. Just fascinating. He explained his methods, experiences and 'technologies'.

Also, I have arranged with him to actually travel into the future to a date of our choosing and bring back one full edition of a prominent daily newspaper (ie: NY Times or London Daily Telegraph or something like that). Should make for some very interesting reading. I chose a newspaper because there is no better way to get a thumbnail sketch of world events for that day.

Haven't really worked out what the date should be yet, but will let you all know when it is finalized.

RoseGirl

oh, and my apologies for mentioning Bella-Haven.

*feels the appropriate amount of shame*

Your lips to Art's ears.      BTW, if you would have answered Limelight? I would have cut my third leg off.
