Amy Schumer's standup persona is that of a superficial but realistic, a generous but casually bigoted boozy party-girl. It's pretty clear though, that it's a performance she's giving. Rodney Dangerfield was far from the inept victim he played onstage. Don Rickles is a sweetheart by all accounts. Carlin was a  hippie, then an eccentric madman, then a total misanthrope.


Comedians mostly perform as characters. Schumer performs a character that she is satirizing but also admitting is in her somewhere.


Most Ph.Ds I know understand this. Even if they think there's a book in NOT seeming to understand this.

Liberal/Conservative....they are equally both to blame. The F.B.I. would be difficult to label as liberal back in those days. Tis nothing more than a one party system with two factions. They both support the same common objectives. Bought & paid for, the rest is just lip service. Granted there are a few exceptions but they rarely serve more than one term.
