The surgery is to pin the bones on the outside of her left hand. As surgeries go we are lucky. I am very impressed with my wife's fortitude. She has been in a splint for six days. She refuses any kind of opiate. Me? I would be well into a third fifth and a second bottle of oxy.

My wife is in surgery and to ease my mind... Bacon and sausage.

I am not gifted enough to post pictures of my morning view. The water is blue, as the sun was rising the horizon was orange with a blue sky. The water was blue with the wind kicking up some white caps.

Beginning January 20th through February 20th, we are in for a treat. For the first time since January 2005, all of the planets that are visible to the naked eye will be visible at the same time.

Astronomers always say there are 5. Since you can usually see the earth at night as well, I claim 6.

Thats a good article. It will be fun to look for provided the sky cooperates. We also have Sub-Tropical storm Alex in the Atlantic and a low pressure area formed in the Gulf. This is January right?
