Brig...thanks for the compliments. And of course call in and I will ask you your opinions on all things you'd like to talk about. Also, I want to find out how it is being the Bella-Haven Crack Reporter! Skype is fixed...I hope...your call will help me test that!

Good morning Serenity.  My eyes are not what they once were and I can't make out what your avatar picture is.

Sorry it took so long lol It's actually Santa Clause looking at his crashed craft  :)

WhiteCrow

It's been a few years now since the self-publishing of my Coffee Table Book:

"American's Forgotten Homestead Roots- A Pictorial History of The Tar Paper Shack"

When time permits, I've been researching and traveling the back-roads of America, photographing Tar Paper Shacks, for an expanded edition.

I've recently received this glowing review of my first edition!

"van Gogh had his hay stacks... Weston his peppers.. and Bourke-White the raggies of the Depression. You are soon to be, if not already, the one the art establishment is referring to when they say "Mr. Tar Paper Shack" at their little after-hour fund-raiser cocktail events in the great museums of New York, Paris and London.

Unfortunately, the shiny, vacuous Starbucks culture we all live in is making these treasures more rare with every passing year. Modern-day Schweitzers such as yourself aren't just producing spellbinding poignant photos of these edifices that momentarily entertain those of us who "get" what you're doing.... your collective body of work has preserved them for enjoyment and study by future generations.

I would say it is almost inevitable that James Cameron will use them to accurately digitize tar paper shacks that actually once stood proudly into his future 3D epic films using your source material. Obviously, once that happens, a popular ground-swell for their conservation can be expected in much the same way he got Eco-Utopians all worked up with that Avatar crap. Now, it will matter.

Came across this very rare, fully restored gem yesterday.... made this Road-Trip a success....made my year!

Maybe one day soon, I will do a Video Report on my history with the Theosophical Society RoseGirl.......it might make interesting questions come into your mind that you would like to ask me, or talk to me about.  Only time will tell.  I do still hope to call in, even if for nothing more than for you to test your Skype.

I'm from the Midwest and I prefer Ordinary Corn. Don't want any fancy Green Giant Corn. No sir. That California corn is for hippies and godless communists.

Sure can brig....just gimme a couple hours. I have to listen to Art's show, open the stream and such at the same time as designing a page to put the last two shows on for serenity to replay.

Wow...was it ever fun talking to you tonight on the show. Just the best. Thanks for helping me make sure my Skype was working.

Oh my gorsh....that MITD show was crazy! I opened up The Outsider stream and talked about it for about 15 minutes or so and no one was there....so, oh well. Doesn't sound to me like people want an after show for Art. *shrug*

I fell asleep shortly after Art read the listener comments to the guest, and just woke back up for the end of Hoagie. That's what usually happens with me, so I end up listening to the replay of both shows.  It's the time for me.  Here, Art comes on at midnight, and Hoagie comes on at 3AM.  Definately, neither times are ideal for me lol's

Thats ok brig. I just painfully opened me eyes.  Listening to last nights Art and in honor of another lost Louisianian ( name redacted to protect her anonymity ) drinking Community medium roast ( no chicory ) whilst perusing the net both light and dark lol.You did grand last night brig. Unfortunately ( or maybe it's in my favor)  while being a believer, I have had no extra normal experiences that I can speak of. Plenty of questions but that's another story. So other than watching the sky, and reading, there is no first hand knowledge unless you count that strange feeling in my gut that I get once in a while. ( hang on a shadow person is reminding me to say something )

Good morning! ( A little humor is good for the soul! )

I DID used to believe the boys when I was in High School, but I was too shy and afraid of them to get anywhere near them.  :-[

I heard RoseGirl say you will be streaming her show replays Serenity.  I think that will be a WONDERFUL addition to your Bella-Haven, bellgab mix, in fact, I'm looking forward to her show tonight, its the perfect "late night radio talk" time slot for me to be awake and listen most of the time.  I hope she doesn't worry too much about how long the show runs.  I think the time will lengthen as the show becomes known, and people start to call in. My unsolicited thoughts here, IF I was RoseGirl, I would keep the show length and topic unspecific for now at least, so she can talk about whatever she wants to talk about, and maybe get more callers to do some of the talking,  than a topic specific show, as long as its something in Rosies field of interest.  IMO.

And that is a good idea. The Gabcast does it, so does Trainwreck. Why not Rosie? Folks will either come or not. But keeping to a set time length with nothing to talk about ( and that won't always be the case) might hamper growth.
It will pick up. The word needs to go out. Remember, she is up against Ground Zero and Darkness radio at that hour so there will be some hurdles.
But yes, I am looking forward to adding her show to the station. I may never hit the big time but I am enjoying doing it as I have for many years. Wait till October. It will be great when I add Old Time Radio Holiday shows to the mix!

Well, since you were so agreeable to those ideas, I was also thinking maybe she might consider starting the show an hour earlier.  That way, it has the potential to grab more listeners earlier, and eventually evolve into a three hour show, which I can easily see happening.

Maybe so. Remember though, she starts at 7PM her time. Any earlier might disrupt family time. We shall see

Hey there RoseGirl. :D  For me, it's simply a matter of time (lol).  1:00 AM is way too late for me to be up five nights a week.  I could handle a morning show with coffee, or something like that. ;)

H2 is having a UFO Hunters marathon staring nbirnes's hubby Bill. Thought you guys might like the info.

Wonderful idea Ms brig...I think you are absolutely right. I will keep the length of the show open ended for now, and I am sure it will soon fill up the 2 hours or maybe even go longer. Oh and the past shows will be up momentarily...just give me a few minutes. I hope to have them up before you all finish that first cup of joe.

:)
