Ok ... Here's the thing.... Is Andy really going blind? if so, can't practice law and needs a new gig to pay the bills. Book and movie deals that feature him as the Time Traveler as the central character. Controls all rights to his "story".....

Aye, yai yai as always, follow the money. Wouldn't it be interesting to find out about Andy's father employment history.

Hear me now and believe me later, because you won't believe me now. Forget about bringing back a newspaper from the future, who ever is first, Andy or Wise Frog, to bring back a winning lottery number from the future, as Art sez is the "real deal"

Now here's the thing, back in the day, when I was a time traveler and was hanging around with da Vinci, while he was painting the Last Supper.
I slipped ol Leonardo a few drawings of a modern air plane, to paint me into his Last Supper Fresco.

White Crow is Thomas and Leonardo is James the Lesser

Now here's the proof, me chilling with Leonardo back in 1498 (Instamatic 110 black and white)

Yup!  All the rest is just "giggle factor" interesting IMO.

I enjoyed last nights episode of Bella-Haven.  I don't care for the idea of archiving bellgab threads and putting them on another site, as mentioned in this episode. I don't even like that the archive of the private chats were kept. I think it's creepy, so kick me!  :P   I know there's nothing I can do about it tho.  If someone wants to read what the bellgabbers have to say, tell them to come to bellgab. MV needs the money. That's the main purpose of MV's forum, to make MV money. He can't make money if people can go to other sites, and read bellgabbers threads there. Get my drift?   Aren't all the posts and their contents the property of bellgab?  In other forums I have frequented, that is the case.   Just my 2cents.

I think if threads from bellgab are going to be archived and posted on other sites, that at least all the bellgabbers should be notified ahead of time.  I don't think posters join forums, and post on them, expecting their posts to be archived, and posted on other sites.  Maybe that is common practice, and I just didn't know about it before. If that's the case, I will have to reconsider my participation on forums. Maybe I'll just read, and not post in them.  I don't know how many bellgabbers would mind, maybe not many,  but I'm sure there are some who would....I would for example.  Please let me know ahead of time if you decide to do this, and which threads.  I'll make sure not to post in them.  Ok, well, that's all I have to say about that.  carry on.  8)

Praise MV!

And where can I find this leadin by our mr bateman? I am behind a bit. Still waiting for Nancy to post
Yesterday, I clicked on DMDR to see what show was playing.  The title was listed only as "Live Shows."  So I clicked on the pop out player.  Low and behold, I hear Steve!  Cool!!!  I immediately went to the Dark City Thread and gave the heads-up.

I doubt that it will be re-recorded.

I was so excited I couldn't pay attention lol's.  I'm SO happy you caught it!!  I think what were're trying to figure out, is if this is going to be a regular thing.  It SOUNDS like it, but I for one am not POSITIVE!

I'm only now going to listen to Bella-Haven / Nancy's show.

I listened to Art's show with Andrew Basiago and felt it was on the top 3 of my favorites so far.

It really kept my interest ... Andy can spin a tale ... I have no idea of anything like this is possible ... but oh wow ... it was a great show.  I loved his little surprise for Art ... and Art's reaction!!!!

Thanks for some solid entertainment; now on to Nancy's show.

Okay, I just finished listening to the Bella-Haven ... Brig, I didn't catch that they are thinking of archiving this thread and taking it somewhere else; Kevin just threw that out ... and Nancy & Lou discouraged the thought (probably knowing it is impossible), and that if people want to know what is posted here ... they read here, if they want to post, they join BellGab.  At least that is what I got out of it.  I guess anyone can do copy and paste of everything -- but that would be so much work -- don't see any type of archiving being available -- personally, I wouldn't like that either ... but I don't think its a reality or what they meant.

At the start of  Nancy's current show, I felt that there was a bit too much talk about money (again) -- but that is what I picked up ... infact, I put the show on hold and went out to listen to Abba's 'money money money' ... because that thats what popped in my mind. (lol).  I  was also disappointed to see all the negative stuff about this Andrew guy from Art's show (I hadn't read along in the live thread, just listened) and then started listening to this show ... darn,it woke me up and made me sad that Everyone seems to be a fraud or con person these days ... but at least it made for some good entertainment.

But once I finished listening to Abba .. .and got back into Bella-Haven ... I liked the rest of the show ... it was friends just chatting with one another -- and I'm a morning-after girl who listens afterwards with my coffee ...

I heard exactly what you did Ms. C,But I had the impression it was the "live show" threads.  Nancy was talking about special things being embedded on each page of her website for each of the MITD shows, for her visitors, but that she hadn't figured out how to embed them yet, and was talking about all the interesting links gabbers post, while they do research during the show, and how interesting it is to follow along with the bellgabbers live show thread, when Blind Kevin made the suggestion. Nancy had mentioned that she hadn't gotten good feedback about archiving and saving the live chats, she said she stopped doing that, but sounds like she kept all the live chat archives. Since I didn't explicitly hear anyone say "No, we won't ever archive the bellgab threads", (It kind of creeps me out if people can actually DO that, but I guess they can if they can archive a live chat)  I wanted to throw my thoughts out about it, and ask for fair warning should they decide to do that.  I forget who I was gabbing with the other day, wait I just DID remember who I was gabbing with, it was Chefist on his second test the other day.  When he asked me which shows were my favorite, I told him all of them are, not because I believe any of them, but for the "story factor".  I have a feeling that the media in all its forms, has been making money off of our willingness to listen and believe, probably for centuries.  I guess we're just now waking up to it, and with nothing but stories to listen to, we've learned to enjoy the stories.  At least thats better than believing them.  Don't be sad, we all got each other to listen to stories with.

Hi brig! Rest assured that I'm not going to post the chat archives, ever. I saved them for re-reading after the show, looking for questions that I might answer in the next live show. Even then, I didn't always get back to reading them because there are only so many hours outside of the show to do research.

I've wanted to get a whole different archive into order, and that's what I'm working on this weekend -- all the back issues of UFO Magazine that I've digitized into PDFs so far. I am working with Lou on this, so that when I mention something that we've covered in the old mag and it's good background for Art's shows, I can make it available.

Maybe if I refer to the old chat stuff as "transcripts" and the UFO Mag PDFs as "archives", it will lead to less confusion and/or anxiety. Hope so, anyway.

All I needed to hear you say is that you wont archive our posts and chats, and I'm all good.  Your word is good enough for me Nancy, I just needed to hear it from you.  Thank You Nancy!  Much appreciated!  Love, Brig.

PS:  I think that's why we have threads, so that people can re-read and look for questions.

Personally, I don't see the point in archiving a live chat.  The whole point of those is that they are spontaneous and fleeting.  They should be taken down at the end of the show (which, no, you cannot do if the "live chat" is here on a thread on Bellgab).  I'm not in favor, either, of their content being censored, but, if you must, assign one or two people as an Admin and have them throw trolls out of the chat as they pop up.  (If you're going to be on radio, it's best to develop a thick skin:  there will always be trolls and people who wish to bring you down.  The point is to ignore them completely:  given no attention at all they'll get frustrated and go away).

"I think that's why we have threads, so that people can re-read and look for questions."

I think the live chat for Bella-Haven that was on its website before was useful for that.  Nancy could go on there during the show and look for questions from people in the chat.  Those chats were fun, busy places.  I think that Nancy just got a bad feeling about it after a couple of trolls came in and started saying not-nice stuff.  If an Admin had tossed them out of the chat after their first few not-nice comments, they never would have gotten a head of steam going.  The trouble with having a chat on a Bellgab thread is that I don't believe it is possible to toss out people who come in and say not-nice things.  However, the live chats that have been going down on Bellgab during Art's show seem to be proceeding just fine.  Haven't seen any trolls in those:  just regular Bellgabbers for the most part.
