Last night in Kingston was sad but beautiful. And it was felt all across Canada.

Felt it here too.. USA.

Sounds great!

Oui!!!  Happy to find out that the best place to view the solar eclipse is so close to my house. Makes logistics simpler.

At the White Crow compound "French" is optional.. ..eh

GravitySucks

It is a shame that this is a daylight phenomenom right now. Venus, Jupiter and Mercury are very close together at the tip of Virgo.

Good day me Fellow Haveneers!

WhitCrow.  How cool to know the best viewing of the solar eclipse will be from your place.  Makes things so much simpler, and no packing!  Well, at least for you two, lol.

I'm looking forward to the event and the comradery .

Praise, WhiteCrow! ;D

Uh oh Starr. Your blimp had an "incident" on landing. Not sure if this was a CFIT or not.

A Tornado touched down just an hour south of me this evening. In Windsor.

I think everyone is alright. Haven't heard of any injuries.

That front blew NE up from Indiana.  Mike Pence even cancelled his speech to return to Indiana.

I hope everyone in your area fared well.

I add my best wishes peeve. It seems like the weather is slowly changing to its Autumn pattern. Even the Atlantic is showing its colors. Gonna be a wild one!

Serenity,

We better keep an eye on this one. The models keep drifting west. 3 days ago it was going up the east coast of Florida. 2 days ago it was on the west coast of Florida and then up through Tampa. Yesterday it was heading towards Mobile and then east. This is now.

Time for the Saturday post.

Tonight starting at 8PM Central until Midnight Central ( Thats 6 to 10pm Pacific for you guys in Rio Linda ) on http://ksyl.com is:Art Bell: Somewhere in Time when Art travels back to July 3, 1996, when investigative journalist James Collier discusses how elections in the United States are completely rigged and fixed from the beginning.

http://ksyl.com has a live stream listed on their page and they can also be found on Tune-in.
If you are local to NW Louisiana or if the propagation is right, you can hear them on 970AM.

I do not know if the show is in the archive. Jazmunda might have the info on that. However from past info, these may be the "new" classics and may not be in the archive.

For those of you with a bent for nostalgia, from 6pm to 8pm Central, ksyl plays When Radio Was, with old radio shows from the time when "Radio was King!"

And if thats not your cup of tea on http://wbsm.com at 10:00 Eastern is Spooky SouthCoast with Tim Weisberg, Stephanie and Matt.

Alien Dreams now has Weekend overnight programming. Something less intense for those who might be awake and want something to listen to. Zero politics, mind calming music and programs for the insomniacs out there. Ride with Serenity......Into the Night.

And Tonight at 11:00 Eastern ( 8 Pacific ) over at http://ufoship.com will be The Gabcast LIVE with MV. He is also looking for 3 co-hosts so drop him a line.

Remember "Theres Magic in the Static"
"When you go outside tonight, look to the sky, you never know what you may see"

Europa, with Jupiter in the background and Europa compared to our moon and the earth.

Dyna-X

Couldn't resist showing this...enlarge the photo - we would be orbiting about 50 feet (15 m) out. Jupiter 256 feet. Pluto about 2000 feet (609m).
Now some fun with scale. As big as the sun is if it were reduced to the size of a golf ball, the Alpha and Proxima Centauri system would be 733 miles (1180km) away, and this general dispersion would hold with most of the stars being pea sized in this neighborhood of the galactic arm.
Keeping the scale, to think the latest discovery around Proxima, a pea 733 miles away with a grain of sand orbiting it, was calculated from slight wobbles in the "pea." That's a pretty neat trick, don't you think?
