star trek 2-3-4 in sequence are so good.
4 doesn't get much air-time in the re-run circuit it seems. I thought that was one of the best ones. :(

That sounded like a slee-stack.

Au contraire! The Sleestacks were clearly inspired by the Gorn, given the timeline  ;)

comaphobe

I enjoyed listening to Robin with all of you this morning, Thank You!  ;D :-*

Wells has a show that interests me, so I'm moving on to that show now with my morning coffee.

here's the description of tonights CaravanToMidnight, quote from the CaravanToMidnight website.

"Ep. 500 â€" In this edition we welcome the senator of the Texas Republic Robert Wilson for words about the separation of Fed and State. But first, the wives of the incarcerated Bundy men come aboard with a message of motivation and hope."

I'm of the belief that all the even numbered Star Treks are good and the odd numbered ones are all flawed in one way or another.

oh my..another episode with Uhura's ass sticking out

i saw it in the theater twice, and glad that i did. i like the culture shock they get on the streets of SF. so funny, might not even work these days.. it's become kinda cliche but it was original at the time.

Oh don't get me wrong, he upsets me a lot, but he has some unique, interesting guests every now and then, and tonight is one of those for me :D

i think you're on to something there.. 5 was literally the worst of them all, although i don't even remember the first movie. not a single scene. i think after star trek 4 shatner and nimoy were in a feud over directing and the result was similar to what happened with DMDN. Part 6 was back on track though.

all the next gen movies sucked, they turned picard into an action hero

It completes the Spock rebirth arc, anyway...but I had/have mixed feelings about it. It made me feel like The Wrath of Kahn was just a setup to this. However, the Search for Spock just wasn't as good a movie. I felt let down but 4 kinda rescued it. Taken together you get the completion of the hero's journey: the call to adventure; the fall; redemption.

Wholeheartedly agree! STNG only worked as a TV show. It was like getting a mini movie every week as a series anyway. There's just nothing they could've done better in a movie format, I guess.

how many were there? i need to rewatch those ones. it's possible that i only saw the one where kirk dies, i think it had jean luc in it. was that mid 90s? i saw it as a rental video. i would give them all a shot, i had to turn off the metrosexual reboot, i don't think i lasted more than 20 minutes of it's blasphemy.

They should never have let Shatner direct! I love him but he's better in front than behind.  ;)

how is that tv picard always chose conflict as the last resort and always followed orders? now you get movie picard that looks for fights and defies star fleet command in every damn movie.

That would be 'Generations' I think. There was also 'Insurrection' & the one with the Borg where they went back to stop humanity from discovering Warp drive.
