Maybe but Art wouldn't do the type of shenanigans that Hoagie does. And, if you go back to the very first page of this thread that is now 900 and something pages long, you will see that the gabbers have been talking shit about hoagie the entire time. There's nothing really different now. What's different is that it's sort of boiled over due to the fact that his first show back after Ross  was such a piece of crap .

Monday, Art has Redacted cohost.  She mostly reminisces about high school in the Valley.
Tuesday, Art has Airyn on to talk about Iron Mountain, a government conspiracy about which she has no particular expertise.
Wednesday, Art plays a rerun without explanation.
Thursday, Art has drunk crazy lady with 10-foot alien and 360-degree contact experience who's selling a seminar in Nevada where she'll tell you what it told her.

I guess I just like late night radio man. It takes me back. Im 39 old fan of shortwave. I miss dave paul on wsb. I miss a lot of things . My life aint great but I'll fight for what makes me happy and I say they are two 70 year old men worth every shot they want in my late night radio world altho I am a deciple of the church of clyde lewis.

Can't, sorry, I'm on my tiny phone.  But just look at the flat-earth show thread, for example.  Hell, look at pretty much any show thread.  Half the comments are ragging on something or another.

This forum was founded as Georgenoorysucks so the core is made up of critics with sharp knives.

Dick never had a good reputation on this forum.  When Dave threw him under the bus and Art picked him up a lot of us decided to give him a chance.  When he is able to keep himself in control he is a good interviewer.  He has a lot of charm and knowledge on numerous subjects.  This week he has kind of reverted to his normal state of name dropping and dominating conversations.  This forum is full of the torch and pitchfork types.  I haven't turned on Richard as I am neither for nor against him.  Kind of the charming but crazy uncle everyone sees at various holiday get togethers.

Show is still leagues better than Coast, easily the second best show on the network. As much as I love Rossy, Bellgab going all bouffée délirante on OSOM doesn't help Art while he's making his run at Premiere. Everybody going to shit the bed if Redacted doesn't work out? Is MITD going to be over then?

I don't know about the behind the scenes discussions but I don't think it's that odd or dumb to take a gig w/o pay just to help out. A lot of people do stuff for free to help others out especially in the beginning. There were a number of peeps here on Bellgab offering services to get this whole operation up and running. Now once everything is running smoothly I would expect discussions about pay would come up and that's where peoples true colors show and the problems tend to show up.
