The multi-turned noose is called the "hangman's noose" but, ideally, kills by breaking the neck -debate over short or long drops, in these times of high BMI individuals I suggest short drop- whereas other slip-knots, or nooses, if used on people/animals kills by cutting off blood supply or suffocation.
