British Typhoon jets intercepted the Russian aircraft Wednesday over international waters near Cornwall, in southwestern England, a ministry representative said Thursday.

It's a good thing that another plane was stopped from flying over international waters, we'll have no more of that!

I thought the footage from the Russians last time they did it a few weeks ago was amusing...One of the Typhoons was flying close formation and banked left to show the Russian crew his underwing stores.  ;D

They've been keeping the UK busy.

"UK jets intercepted more than 100 Russian aircraft last year, according to the British Defence Ministry."

It's just chess to them. They know they're not going to target anything, just nosey around...take photos of the Typhoons that come and see them on their way. The Typhoon drivers get the experience of being close and personal to the bomber crews, some they might even recognise from the last time; wave, take photos..

Burn fuel, lot's of fuel.. Everyone goes home happy.

I'm sure it'll be tough work for the RAF to knock barely flightworthy, prop-driven, Cold War relics out of the sky, should the need arise.
