I think it depends on the programme and the time of broadcast (which is ludicrous considering that a lot/most kids have a TV in their bedroom). There was a programme on Channel 4 a few years ago about what did and didn't constitute acceptability in terms of language used..It was quite revealing. A bit of brain storming meeting with producers/ editors/ controllers/ directors/ policy advisors/ lawyers. One plucky producer asked if it was okay (in respect to a drama he was pushing for broadcast) if 'cunt' was okay as a pejorative term used by one of the characters to another. One of the female producers squirmed in her seat and said something along the lines of 'That's a bit strong, is it really needed?'..He retorted, "Can I have two fucks then!" 

But in answer to the question..I've heard 'shag', 'fuck' and bastard' used in certain shows. Cop shows get a sprinkling.

I'm not sure how to answer this.    As a parent, I can say that I wouldn't be happy about any teacher doing anything to either of my children  (I have a boy and a girl).     However, when I was a student, there were a couple of teachers I wouldn't have minded hooking up with, and it wouldn't have messed up my life as far as I would have been concerned.   I think the parents want to protect their kids, and sometimes make the situation worse than it is.   I also think it depends on the age of the kids and the teach - a 16 year old student shagging his 22 year old teacher is different than a 40 year old dude hooking up with a 12 year old.
