Howdy, Tardis.

with that use of the construction "BellGabber" though -- are you new, or a newly-named seasoned poster in here?

Did I commit a faux paux?  I'm completely new here and Bellgabber just seemed  the best way to address the group to me.

No, you're fine.   That term is just something that I never even saw until well after I had joined.  Maybe you have been watching and caught that usage..?   Which is fine too...  :-[ ::) Sorry, I was just commenting.  Welcome aboard, anyway.  ;D

Nope, never lurked before. I literally just found this forum yesterday when I was nosing around after reading the little exposé John B. Wells posted revealing the (alleged) dope on the demise of Art's deal with C2c and Sirius. I hadn't realized all the drama involved and wanted more. I listened to Art so many years ago I feel ancient. This time without him on the air has been dull. That Sirius tease just made me realize how much I missed him and I want to be there the minute he gets free and back on the air, internet or whatever media form he does.

Well -- good to meet you, but I ain't holding my breath about Art Bell.

Welcome aboard, Nooropathy. Great user name!

Welcome aboard, Tardis! I like the username, being a diehard Whovian myself. We have a Doctor Who thread you might be interested in. I also like the avatar - The Doctor's Wife, my favorite epi.

maureen

welcome, Tardis and Nooropathy, to this wonderful forum of the "vaguely lovable", where you will find everything from Astrophysics to Haikus to Zombies.... and how to fix your guitar, too!! Have fun!! ;D

pyewacket

Hello everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself and tell you how much I appreciate your forum. I enjoyed Art's show years ago. I liked his approach- he had a good sense of humor and challenged the more outrageous claims. I can't believe that Noory is still there. Thanks for giving us a place express our observations.

Hey, only one intro per member bub... I am watching you.

FallenSeraph

Hey hey hey there to all the new folk! Welcome!

pyewacket

Sorry Onan- one forum I joined years ago was insistent about everyone posting on the introduction section first. I thought I was out of order! LOL Wouldn't be the first time. I probably do need supervision some days! ;D

welcome to the forum! Interesting name you have there!
One of my family members had a pet named Pyewacket.
Hearing that name again brings back fond memories. :)

jazmunda

Welcome to the asylum new members. Stay away from the brown acid. It's mine.

None of us can believe Noory is still there. It's what unites us. Great screen name, is it from the cat in Bell, Book and Candle?

pyewacket

Yes, it is from the movie's beautiful black cat! Glad to hear others have an affection for the name, too.  :)
I correct myself- it was a Siamese cat, I think. Been awhile since I've seen the movie.

Waco Kid

Hi. 'nother new guy, here. I'm probably not the first one to say it, but...

Literally for years I've been banging my head on the sink (I listen to C2C podcasts while brushing my teeth) and asking myself how in the world George is the guy doing this national radio talk show. The inane questions. The not listening. Asking questions that just got answered. Not asking the obvious follow-up question just after the guest has said some earth-shattering thing.

I had this recurring fantasy of writing a letter to Premiere. Like I was gonna be the guy who enlightened them. Wondering how no one else seems to notice that the emperor has no clothes. More than anything, though... inwardly bemoaning such a waste of airtime for such an important  area of inquiry. Night after night after night...

The only saving graces were the occasional appearances by Art, Ian, George Knapp. Then Art was gone. Then Ian was gone. Then... I found this place by accidental virtue of some Youtube searches for Art-related stuff. Eureka! Maybe I'm not so alone, after all.

There appears to be lots of childish trash talk, here, but, having heard some of the folks on Gabcast and SpecSheet recordings (via Youtube) and the way everyone carries on -- maybe I'm taking myself too seriously. You guys (and gals) crack me up.

Anyway -- please be gentle with me.

P.S. I have an aunt who had a cat named Pyewacket when I was a kid. (an actual kid)

welcome, have fun

Welcome aboard, Waco... Yeah, there is some juvenile stuff, but there are also some threads, comments, and regular posters who are gems.  You've found your tribe.

pyewacket

Greeting Waco Kid! Pyewacket just seems to go with cats. Have fun - lots to read and comment on here.  :)

Waco hey you should cushion any nearby hard surfaces with bubble wrap if you continue to listen to Noory broadcasts.  This is just the kind of helpful insight you'll gain from spending more time here.  Welcome, and have fun posting.
