Hi!

I should introduce myself. I used to be really funny and write jokes, but then spent six years taking care of dad who had several strokes and was bedridden for most of it. Six months before dad died, mom was diagnosed with dementia. I care for her now. I have 6 cats (foster failures) and a senior dog who is part wolf and part angel (also a rescue). My beautiful parrot passed not too long ago, and I have one finch who refuses to die.

When I was much younger, I remember going into my parent's room late at night and my father would have this ancient yellowing ear bud in his right ear. His eyes would be alive with fire and fear, and I would ask. The answer was always "Art Bell".

When Art came to Sirius, it was perfect. I was deeply grieving my father, and his voice was the solitary, comforting island I sought.

I miss Art. He holds not only our history, but my history. Hoping for the great return.

Hello everyone!  I'm Tiffanie!  (If you coudn't tell from my screen name!)  I currently live in Idaho but this summer will be moving to Georgia.  I started listening to Art back around '93 with my Dad, while I was still in high school.  I've since gotten my husband, siblings, and some friends addicted to listening.  I heard about this site via a caller into the Rollye James online stream show from, I believe, last Friday.  Super excited to get to know other Art fans.  Also very happy to hear that Art will be back again come July!  Just wanted to quickly introduce myself before jumping into threads!

Hi novat0, good to have you join us.  Don't worry people aren't really treated like noobs here, unless they're obviously trolling.  I'd avoid the politics forum for awhile (or forever), but otherwise there are lots of diverse threads to explore, depending on what you're into.
