1. Actually my wife is 24 she knows who Art Bell is. There are also many members of this forum who are under 30.

2. Coast to Coast AM can not be saved. Premier has ruined the show with commercials, Lisa Lyon booking quacks, etc. The demise of C2C has been well documented.

3. Art has nothing to gain by going back to C2C, as the program is ruined beyond repair. Even if Bell went back, the show would still only be marginally better.

4. C2C would not even be a fit for Art right now. It is a variety show.

5. George would never except Art back on C2C, he freaked out Wells was getting better ratings than him.

6. Art has no reason to aplogize. It's not his fault he thinks Noory sucks. Pretty much everyone who listens thinks he does. Just look at the ratings for Noory 3.25 million to Art's 10 million. Should Art lie to eveyone and say he thinks George is doing a great job, when its obvious he sucks?

And honestly - the Dark Matter shows were in NO way better than anything George is doing AT ALL, lets get real people, and don't lie to yourselves, no tough questions, touching the guests with satin gloves.... boring...

The commercials on Dark Matter were better anything George does and that includes the Sirius ones.

Sabotage, backstabbing and unethical moves are considered the norm and the idea of it happening between Art and George is very realistic.

I know this may have already been raised ,but: Sirius was really quick with replacing Art with C2C when Art departed. How was that done so quickly?  Even Premier isn't that fast or Sirius for that matter. Was Sirius using Art as Bait? If Art wasn't that valuable, why such a grip on him now? Would Art have been violating his "No Compete" clause if they would have added C2C while Art was still on?

I guess Sirius was already planning to put both them on have have their own competing paranormal/UFO programming?

As for the subject line of this thread, George should be Ki$$ing Arts Ass every single day because if it was for Art George wouldn't have a Pot to Pi$$ in. He sure couldn't have made it where he is without Art building the stage he performs on. (like a trained monkey)

C2C had been on Sirius before and, according to Noory, PremRat had been negotiating with Sirius for awhile for C2C's return to Sirius.  Take that for what it's worth, of course.

As I've mention before, I doubt we'll ever completely know what happened but once Art started having issues with Sirius, PremRat may well have seized upon the opportunity to their advantage, whether they we're in prior negotiations with Sirius or not.  Noory was claiming Art could still have done DM as the nightly show prior to C2C on Sirius but that's a big joke.  I'm sure Art would have been just thrilled to serve as a lead-in for Noory on Sirius.  :  If C2C was destined to eventually return to Sirius anyway, regardless of what was going on with DM, Art would have been looking for an exit.  Sad, sad.  I just hope Art does eventually return with a show.  1.5 years away and counting.

I do agree that Art should apologize to George and vice versa. Art is coming off as a bitter, jealous old man and George is being a sore loser. In the end, they both should be thinking about Coast to Coast's future. George (whether he admits it or not) is winding down and the show has lost some of its splendor and Art could guest host a couple nights a week to get the show back on track until they find a suitable host or hosts for the show to continue on after they both retire.

For Art to continue the public bashing of George and C2C is not helping his legacy or the franchise. He should be a man, extend an olive branch and go out on top. Instead it seems like he is more than happy to go out a semi-successful radio host from a time long ago with no one under 35 knowing who he is.

Hey Art, way to do Coast to Coast, its fans, your fans and yourself an injustice.

I see your point, and only want to agree with it. I'm going to ague both points
-Premiere and Art should make up.  But Art owes no apology.  Art handed them the show, turn-key and ready to go with a huge fan-base, and they have squandered the successes of the show.  They still cling to old Art Bell: Somewhere in Time as incentive to get streamlink members because they know Art was king, father, and lord of this particular demographic.  This is HIS audience, a decade later, it's still lovingly think of it as "The Art Bell Show".

When someone truly wrongs me, until they make ammends and apologizes, they are dead to me. As such, I try my hardest not to speak ill of the dead. They are a ghost and I do my best to ignore them and not give them the time of day.. Not so much as a head-nod of acknowledgement, the courtesy I would extend to a stranger.  This is the way the Native Americans did it, and I think it's only flaw is when you are trying so hard to ignore someone you don't get to see the threat they can be to your world. 

Art should keep Premiere & Co. off his lips, and Premiere should quit fucking with Art's life and livelihood. I'd give my left arm to get Art back into his old time-slot. The only way I see that is for some uppity-ups with ClearChannel intervene. Since ClearChannel is a whore, I won't hold my breath!
