He already has his own forum, that nobody contributes to, so I can't see the logic of a members-only thread either. If they all want to gather round in a circle and whisper in each other's ears then they can go and visit the Falkie forum. Mind the cobwebs. He only has two pleasures in life: bitching about other people's supposed inadequacies, and indulging his misplaced sense of superiority. Well, this new thread lets him do the second one, and I am sure he will be back to complaining about the haters shortly, when he has to come back on this thread and stir people up to let them all know what they're missing in the Fortress. The only interesting thing about all this is how long it will take him to alienate everyone and leave him talking to himself. The last thing you ought to do with someone like Falkie is to give him any power or responsibility.

it's his choice, as he'll be hosting the gabcast solo.  this means taking calls, hanging up on them, and entirely guiding the direction of the show.

What the fuck does falkie need another thread for?

I was under the impression this forum was open for all comments excluding porn and racial hatred. Now falkie has a thread for only people he doesn't have to defend himself against? Fuck that.

someone suggested falkie have his own thread, and after some thought, it occurred to me that the least i could do for him, given the years of entertainment he's provided this forum, was to extend a tip of the hat by activating a thread falkie can control with an iron fist. 

he's even edited some of my posts!


but in all seriousness...

beyond the repayment of any debt, falkie's private thread serves as a case study for me to learn innovative new moderation techniques.  i've been in a bubble for so long with my own stuffy approaches to forum moderation... it's time to grow.

Of course it will be.  Remember the time Falkie missed his chance to interview George Noory?  Then got a second chance and was able to meet with him a short time later?  How long did the interview portion last before it became just another Falkie video rant?  Or the times he's been on the GabCast...?  Or some of his videos specifically to be only about certain news topics...?
