Art Bell fan since the late '90s. I feel out of place on the running threads. It seems like a lot of competing to show who's the biggest Art Bell fan around. Seen that dynamic at work on team and other fan forums. I am too old to shake my ass for an artist/celebrity. I come to the Falkie Thread to eat my candy with the pork and beans.

This is a good description of how I look at it too, especially given the reputation that I'm sure Ol' Gerry carries with him from this thread into the others (which, by admission, is my own doing).  I appreciate Art and his work, but enjoy standing off to the side while the hardcore fans do their thing in the mosh pit.

Kathy for pain and other reasons gave up but has promised me that the next place will be kept clean and I will get her a housekeeper.
As for the 15 houses, I just asked Kathy and she said his Mothers property consists of the following :

2 sisters, each live in a house owned by the Mother.
Mother lives in an house of her own.
Davey lives in an apartment in one of Mommy's two duplex apartment buildings.
Davey is also still a drunk.
Kathy is not certain she'd inherit anything should his Mother die, but that was the original reason She did not divorce him. He did abandon her with no means of support or way to pay the rent which is how I wound up moving in with her after he left.
She is also going to be entitled to collect on his social security benefits since she was/is married to him for longer than 10 years. That starts next year.
And she could also petition to court to have him pay her expenses during the period of abandonment.
She will be seeing an attorney after the moving stuff is done.

We're not happy with him but wish no physical harm would come to him.
He really needs a helper to help him do the work to complete building his house or one day he will fall and not from the injuries.

Same here.  I started listening to Art back in the CBC days.  The running threads are great for some people but not for me.  I think they're like the internet version of people getting together to watch a football game at a sports bar.  They enjoy being with other fans during the game.  I can appreciate that - it's just not for me.  I'm in the Eastern time zone so Art was on from 1:00 to 5:00 am.  I listened in bed in the dark and that's the way I prefer to listen to Art now.  Back in the 90s I sent him a VHS cassette on a subject he was interested in and I was thrilled when the phone rang one afternoon and it was Art calling to thank me for sending it to him.

Gerry do you think you will participate in the on air threads MV has been opening up as MITD starts each evening? Or are you only interested in Falkie? Sometimes I wonder if certain people on this thread even like Art Bell at all, or are just here for the Falkie roast.

The on air threads are great for people who enjoy that kind of thing but they're not for everybody.  I started listening to Art in the 90s.  I listened in bed, in the dark, from 1:00 am to 5:00 am and that's how I prefer to listen now.  I was a Streamlink member back when Art hosted C2C.  There were on air threads each night on the forum for Streamlink members and I wasn't attracted to those either.  As I said, they're great for people who enjoy the camaraderie of being with other fans during the show.  It's just not for me.  I'm a Time Traveler now and a loyal fan, even if I don't participate in the on air threads.
