Dark Matter Network Content

Juan

The Secret Teachings gave me a bad taste from the start.  They began talking about a WWII Japanese sub that had been found in more than 2,000-feet of water in the Pacific.  One of the guys read an article several times that said the U.S. had scuttled the submarine in 1946 to keep the Soviets from seeing it's advanced features. The two guys seemed to not know what the word "scuttled" means.  They talked about the sub sinking in a storm.  They seemed to not understand that the U.S. learned what it could from the sub, then towed it to deep water and sank it.

Then they moved on to talking about Hitler's "stealth" flying wing.  They must have been talking about the Horten Ho 229, of which one was made. The U.S. has had the plane since the end of the war, and while its shape and paint would have offered some reduction in radar detection to the radar used at the time, it offers no stealth benefit to modern radar.  They sounded like idiots.

Plus, they need to get decent microphones.

Jim Harold's Paranormal Podcast is no longer listed DMRN schedule and his profile has been taken off the page.

I'm probably being over-conspiratorial, but I wonder if Coast got to him. He was a guest w/ Noory maybe a month or so ago.

Thanks for your concern but it is nothing that cloak and dagger, at all.  Here was my thought process for leaving:

There were a couple of considerations (no connection to C2C whatsoever BTW) that went into my decision but below is the primary one.

When I was first approached on joining DMN, the network was being streamed from ArtBell.com.  I was delighted and honored to be asked to stream from Art's site.

Last weekend, I surfed over to ArtBell.com and saw that all of the programs had been moved to another site.  I was surprised, that is not what I volunteered to do.  So, that basically made my decision for me.  I proceeded to produce the Monday night show that I had promised and tried to bow out as gracefully as I could afterward.

This is no reflection on Keith Rowland or Art Bell.  Keith genuinely seems like a very nice guy and a real pro.  It goes without saying that Art is a legend.  I, like millions of others, hope to hear him back doing what he does best.  I just decided to step away from DMN.  I wish Keith the best in building the network.

In addition to continuing to listen to DMN, I hope that those here who heard my programs and enjoyed them will continue to listen over to JimHarold.com and via the various apps where fine podcasts are heard.

Thanks for listening,

Jim Harold

DMN doesn't seem to be associated with art bell any more considering his name isn't listed at all on the page.

We invite you to join us beginning Saturday, December 14 at 11pm ET on DMRN for "Into The Planet" radio.
After much thought, we have decided to "throw in" with Keith and help build something that may very likely be valuable Internet broadcasting real estate as it gets further developed. Obviously, Art has to step back a bit, until his issues with Sirius are resolved. This is a bit disappointing, in that Art's name still carries a lot of weight in broadcasting circles. I'm betting he will be back. And I'm betting he will broadcast from DMRN.
Anyway, here's the scoop on our program: Hosted by myself and extreme explorer, Jill Heinerth, we hope to bring an interesting and entertaining hour of content to DMRN. We will focus on Exploration, Science, Culture, and Current Events. One of the features on each program is taking listeners on "Audio Expeditions."  Here's a link to a video about diving inside the largest moving object on the planet: "ICE ISLAND" our first "AudioEx."

http://youtu.be/SIdoJwLl2tA

Our co-host, Jill Heinerth led a National Geographic underwater team expedition to Antarctica and for the first time in history, they climbed, landed a helo on, and cave dived inside this massive berg.

This remarkable expedition, some "Science Faction" and other good stuff coming your way Saturday nights at 11 Eastern starting December 14th.

Please check out Jill's website at http://www.IntoThePlanet.com

Cheers, Robert

This doesn't really add up for me Jim. What other site are you talking about? All of the other programs are streaming from artbell.com, just like it was set up. Don't see why you think you were treated differently ???

Nothing to do with denial. Im not an idiot that splits hairs over nothing. It is NOT a legitimate reason, in my mind, to quit an endeavor because the url is different. Give me a break. I don't tune in to listen to the url, its the content that is there, no matter where it is.

Its not about YOU as a listener, its about the person doing a podcast on a network that has nothing to do with Art Bell. The url is different because why? Its a different person doing it that is not associated with ARt Bell. I dont see whats so complicated about that.

Oh really? Sorry but it is about the listener, otherwise why have a program in the first place? I get the whole "its not on ArtBell.com" thing. I am calling that complete bullshit. No reason to quit. Shows a remarkable lack common sense. I will go so far as to say there must be another reason. How do most people get to DMRN? From artbell.com! You must be shilling for the guy that quit.

rofl @ shilling. Why would someone want to put an already established podcast and hook it to Keith Rowlands network? who the hell is he? Now if it was Art Bells network, his name draws people. Is that hard to comprehend?

When we get to the essential core of truth about DMN, what do we win?

Hello Everyone, Let me tell you why I choice to stay with Keith and Dark Matter.
The marketplace is flooded with paranormal shows, podcasts, whatever you prefer to call them.

After watching Keith's actions over the course of a week, I knew this network would be stronger then any that currently air my show.

Also also want to thank the few users who reviewed my show on this forum, I am sorry you dont like it. But I cant please everyone all the time, but thanks for listening.

Jim host of The Malliard Report

Because it's another avenue of distribution. Keith isn't asking anyone for exclusivity. It's plain stupid to turn it down. You've got a ready built audience there waiting for you, and they're ART BELL LISTENERS, not Noory's mouthbreathers.

I wouldn't say its stupid, its just not needed if you already have a website streaming your show and your own followers. And it is debatable that you are getting ART BELL listeners, since Art bell listeners want ART BELL.

FallenSeraph

Kinda wanna start a band called Noory's Mouthbreathers now.

Welcome, Jim! Thanks for popping in!  :D

If you attract TWO new listeners from the Dark Matter stream, that's a net gain. What is the downside to streaming over there. I've yet to hear one.

Well they're not getting him anytime soon. Where do you think these Dark Matter listeners are coming from, just materializing out of thin air? They're coming from artbell.com & his social sites.

I wasnt saying there is a downside, just not needed. I bet your show (which I like by the way) draws more listeners to the network then the network has brought you. I mean really if this forum got changed to RowlandGab would anyone be here? lol

Like I said, it's another avenue of distribution. If they wanted to air my show on shortwave out of Alaska, I'd say yes.

What Jim, host of The Malliard Report, said.

DMN has the potential to be awesome if people would just stick with it and let the damn thing get off the ground.

When I read Jim Harold's post, I basically read, "What? I can't ride Art Bell's branded coattails to greater fame and glory now? Outta here!" He already has an established podcast with dedicated listeners? Excellent. Now he can get even more. I for one had never heard of him (sorry, Jim H.) until DMN. Now I like his show. I know there are other people like me out there. I'm not the last unicorn! I'm not!

Sorry. It got weird at the end. I got bored.

I miss the good old days when George would pop in here. We could ask him which band name he likes best. The winner gets an autographed Late Nite Snacks cookbook.
