Yay I've been exonerated by the man himself.

Does my GabCast call count as a call in to Art?

Yes, it does.  How does it feel to be taken off the hook by the Man himself?   8)

Damn I just woke up and didn't have my heater on so I could listen to Dark Weekend and now its fucking COLD!

Have any of you noticed that cold coffee tastes a little like chocolate? I wonder if coffee and chocolate are related? Maybe they evolved from the same animal, like how dogs and cats both evolved from the rat.

They both come from the jungle, right?

I'm not sure how much of a relationship Art and Knapp have but there is some hint of a mutual respect. I would like to see this happen.

Knapp and Art have been friends and colleagues for over two decades. Knapp was a frequent contributor to Coast in Art's days. You can hear him doing UFO updates in some of the archival shows from the early/mid-90s. Knapp, as a professional journalist, is the only qualified broadcaster remaining on the Coast roster and he and Art both know this.

But Knapp IS a professional, so I don't see him biting the hand the feeds him--while at the same time, he's certainly not going to burn his bridges with Art, either.

That said, I've been predicting for a long time that at a certain point we simply won't hear Knapp on Coast anymore--it'll be the Noory & Wells show, with occasional appearances from others like Rob Simone (who actually doesn't bother me that much).

That said...who knows what forces Mr. Knapp is being subjected to right no, whether of corporate or conscience?

Mastodonkey

I see.. I see Knapp as not really wanting to get involved in any of this and just keeps on doing what hes doing in life but perhaps Art could convince him or bounce some ideas off of him for old times sake and we could see what comes of it. All hopeful speculation.

Anybody notice C2C is having a shit-ton of split shows these days? Must be to benefit Jorch since he can't interview anybody no matter who it is for a full show without it becoming boring as hell due to his overall dull nature and interviewing skills.

C2C has been doing splits for quite some time now. That's when I started to clue into Noron's deficiencies (yeah, I'm damn slow). Your assessment is spot on -- deluge with commercials, multiple guests, less time for George to clown without makeup.

Malachi -- thanks for the Art chat recap!      :: thumbs up ::

Luna

There have been a few episodes that were split in half where I was enjoying the guest but felt like the interview ended too early.

I think Mr. Knapp has been trying to be faithful both to his friend and his employer. He was (if I'm not mistaken) the first to mention on Coast that Art would be doing a new show. He then went and did a TV story about Art (which Art speculated tonight probably didn't make the bosses at Coast very happy). I think he will continue to do his best to rise above it and not publicly choose a side, while at the same time, his reaching out to Art in those ways was definitely him indicating that yes, he supports Art.

Knapp even said (I believe) at one point that there would be no obstacle to his appearing on DM. Now had DM continued and (as many have speculated) Knapp been offered a chance to guest host it, it might have been another story. (Coast harassed guests for appearing on both; who knows what they would have done to a host.)

But it's all academic at this point until Knapp gets the boot from (or leaves) Coast and/or Art goes back on the air in some form or fashion. And even if that happens...I don't think Knapp does Coast for the money but it's still (I'm sure) a nice supplemental paycheck to his TV work. If he were to start doing a podcast with Art? Not sure the financial incentive would be there.

But I could definitely see him contributing UFO reports as he did in the old days.

Who is sNoory PMing? or is he reading up on Art?

I think at times he's embarrassed by C2C. Eventually he'll retire from TV and I could see him as a full time paranormal radio guy.

George Knapp should quit hosting C2C altogether and team up with Art.. Art can start streaming but Knapp can be the host until Art's NC is over then they can share duties or do whatever they see fit.

That's not going to happen.

Knapp has been abundantly clear on numerous occasions; he loves doing C2C and will do so as long as he is invited to do so.

On a side note, I found it odd that Art said he would never have considered coming back if GK were hosting C2C.   He came back solely because C2C now sucked? That doesnt seem like a solid foundation on which to build a show.

Should Art get out of his NC, I know he doesn't want to go back in time, but It would be rather cool to see Dreamland again. Whitley only does the show One day a week like it was formatted to be.  Why not take Dreamland and make it a full week. Get George Napp to do the show the days Art isn't on and Whitely can keep it where it is now on Saturdays.

Does anyone know who owns dreamland?

This is why we need Snoory to remain with Coast for a long long time. If Snoory goes maybe Art won't be motivated to do a show.

Long live the Snooron I say.

Pretty sure Art gave it to Whitley. But I agree that Dreamland would be an excellent fit for Art's streamed show. And I'd imagine that Whitley would be glad to give it back to Art as long as Whitley could be involved in some fashion.

I think he really did want to come back but that was probably his biggest reason in making his return is what I got out of it. He knew there was an audience out there that wanted a show with a host with some level of integrity and intellectualism.

And if Knapp had been hosting full time.. maybe that gap wouldn't have been so apparent and also out of respect to Knapp he wouldn't have deemed his return necessary. As he said once on DM "Thanks you george for making DM..... whats the word.. NECESSARY." or something to that extent.

I don't think Art would ask Whitley to give it back because he only does the show on Saturdays. Dark Matter was Monday thru Thrusday.  Napp could do the show Friday and Sunday if he wanted to.  Art and him are friends so it would be a perfect match. The show has been around for like 20 years now. People know what Dreamland is. This would just be an upgrade to 7 days a week or even 5 days with 2 best of dreamlands. maybe they could play old dream land shows with art if nap doesnt want the job.

Lets rally Art and Whitley to bring dreamland to a new level!!!

I'd love to know what's so important here. sNoory's a snake and he's up to something.
No posts...

Yes, Jazmunda needs to call Noory and kill his show too.

I remember Art making that comment about Noory making his return necessary, and  found it somewhat contradictory of some earlier statements he made in months prior to inking the SiriusXm deal.

For instance, at one point, I am pretty sure he indicated that he did not want to come back for the wrong reason, with the implication being: GN's current abomination of a show.

That was before Noory slapped art in the face with the Oates interview.

As I said a few posts back we need Noory so Art is motivated to come back. No Noory. No motivation to crush him.

I do believe it's him for the chatter about his PMs.
Kinda weird he runs to an Art Bell fan forum every chance he can get a break from his show.

Don't you find it strange that he can log on here at 4:00 AM but in four days doesn't supposedly have time to send me an email nor read a email from me ?

couldn't believe he called.  i was so nervous it caused me some reeeal stomach pain which didn't subside until about an hour after the show.

The best part was how everyone in the chat room said they were holding off calling to keep the lines free for Art...and feeling that great big virtual pregnant pause until you said he was on the line. Awesome interview MV and crew.   ;D

By the way today is my birthday. I just got done hearing MV talk with AB, on GC. So im feeling pretty DG right now LOL.

Wait til he hears about the coffees that get pooped out of animals butts and cost hundreds of dollars a pound.
