Art Bell Quits Dark Matter

I am behind on reading this thread, I am on page 70!  That means I do not know if this is old news or opinions.

Going to the artbell.com website, there is live streaming through KYNE in Pahrump.  That is terrestrial radio.  I think this just might open the door to syndication possibilities.  He should also remain on Sirius.  If he can syndicate, and remain on the air, this allows further growth for the Dark Matters audience.

Reading through comments Mr. Bell is not a twenty-something that has decades and decades to build a radio audience.  He is probably wanting results and wants them now.  By results that is more listeners and a greater audience base.  I think that some of his reactions may be based on that.  He wants competition with Coast and do that he must have market exposure.  That is one of the by-products or goals that I take from this.   He built the Coast audience from nothing, not Mr. Noory. He has maintained and tweaked some, maybe a limited growth but I compare it to a long reign.  Then, as a rest for the weary king to maintain rule for the kingdom, you let the King off for a vacation.  Then, you appoint another King to keep the seat warm, King for a Day.  Yes they wear crowns, too, but so does Burger King.  Are they number one?

I think he's whipped himself into a frenzy and believes the stuff he spouts.  It's easy to twist facts and info to fit your worldview.  I've read a few Kennedy assination theories that make you go "hmmmm...could be" because they each believe their version, then go looking for "evidence" to support their belief.  I think that's what Alex Jones has done -- as well as the people (I'm looking at  you, John B Wells) who subscribe to his message.

I think he lost it quite a while ago.

I will give him this, though, I'd never heard about the Bilderberg coffee klatches before I heard him screaming about them.

True. He's a nut!! I love watching him cry when he talks about Amerika. I wish one of the monsters here would cannibalize him.

I remember this guy. I've liked what I've heard. If I remember right he really went into Alex Jones once. Maybe it was someone else. God, why do I know all this shit? I could've went to college and become a lawyer, or a doctor, or an architect, or a dentist. Fuck this.

If you'd become an oral surgeon I just would have handed you $3000+ for about an hour's work.

I agree about KYNE.  Why not?  I'm sure he could build up his number of stations again without a problem considering the sorry state of terrestrial radio today.

I don't understand how you can announce you're having a panic attack, THEN get worked up and start the crying/histrionics.  That guy's more likely to have a heart attack than a visit from the ghost of a serial killer.

From Art's FaceBook Page:
Let's play some KNYE until we hear if SiriusXm will release Art from his contract.

Here's the page with the stream links in case anyone's not bookmarked it:
http://artbell.com/testing-a-potential-live-streaming-solution/

I just saw that on the Dark Matter site  (now playing Year of the Cat).  This indicates to me he's wanting to STAY on the air.

Ben Swann? Is he crazy too for reporting -almost- the same stuff Alex does? Can I get a demeaning tinfoil comment from someone with their head in the sand?

Yeah I thought he sold KNYE..

I think he's just keeping his streaming chops up.

I've been listening to KNYE the last few hours. WOW what a great station and great music. Arties voice Is also nice hearing also. And lots of the music is his bumper music that I've become so addicted to. If we never get art back, at least we have KNYE.

Anyone who thinks Alex Jones is great is one card shy of a full deck, imho.  AJ is a paranoid nut-job.
I think you give him way too much credit. I think he has no more than 7 cards of any suit.

Derpspiracy

My username was actually inspired by Alex Jones, to be perfectly honest. Every time he manages to suddenly appear on television, radio, or my Facebook feed, I announce "IT'S A DERPSPIRACY, PEOPLE! HIT THE DECK!" in my best histrionic/paranoid/tinfoil hat/lunatic/over-the-top retarded voice.

It's one of those things that just never gets old.

sure would be a good start..all he needs to do is be on one radio station that is on the web and people can listen there and his web site.

A brief note to all.. Art's Facebook is back up.
Maybe he can start the dialogue with Sirius again through there --I am only being half sarcastic. Remember, that is where they approached him to begin with, so maybe it's not that unheard of that they'd continue..

Maybe they don't want to spend another $5, HR.

Might be old news.  Starting Monday SiriusXM is scheduling the "Jay Thomas show" in the Dark Matter time slot 10pm to 1am.

I too have noticed this, it looks like a replay of his show that airs earlier in the day.

I absolutely love this compilation.

George Noory's Rambling on Coast To Coast Am Part 2

I will never get tired of these. They almost justify the existence of current C2CAM.

Marc.Knight

The cool thing is that there is so much material someone could make a continuously running compilation and schedule in a few bathroom and snack breaks.

""Truly a beautiful post. I agree.""  Haveaccess, you rock.

Here here.

I would buy Vegemite if Art sold it. I buy it anyway but if Art sold it I'd buy 2 jars. ;)

Kraft?

Kraft?

How about selling Pizza Punch II?  The proceeds could help keep Art's site up.

I have a few contacts at the Santa Barbara Olive Oil Co., the original producer of AB's pizza punch, let me know if you need me to look up the info.
