Here we sit in our tinfoil hats hoping......

Love this picture, and this movie.
I recall seeing it for the first time. And when I drove home, my friends and I listened to ...none other than ART BELL on the radio with the windows open and the cold late summer air coming in the car. Beautiful time.

Will there be another beautiful time ... now? Or will the HOT AIR blow..

Coz... can you utilize your tech knowledge to tell us something good? ya know given this ass sucking situation we are in?

Yes....

If Sirius goes for it, and Art is willing to shoulder a pretty big expense.... we'll be listening to Art Bell again.

But it's going to be expensive.

Won't help... they would get a court order to block all IP numbers in a particular location, using a geolocation database.

I've been down this road before too. Actually wrote the program that queried the database and allowed/disallowed the IPs.

You would not be able to get it through something like TOR either because the bandwidth is too low.

You wrote THE program that does that?  The only one?  lol

We're all just usernames here, try not to turn this into a misogynist debate. It's not as though you've been a great example of how to rein in emotions earlier in the thread either.

*clutches pearls* Well, I never! Hahahah totally kidding and no, my intent is not such. It was just an observation, no agenda, and you are correct. Yesterday I did not completely rein in my emotions (though I did partially so imagine what may have been unleashed..) but I was certainly not alone in that, to say the least. Almost everyone here has been guilty of that in the past few days, for certain.

I don't know that inside joke.

But ok... yes.
No biggie, just thought you might be gentle Eddie Coyle, another forum user, expressing his various moods via another username. If not, that's cool too.

Here, I've created a handy dandy prognostication device:

Guys over a Duke are giving mind altering drugs to rats...........
How cool is that?

I need to get a new gig.

Misogyny and sycophant are this thread's keywords I'd bet.

Anybody else hearing marijuana rat and cocaine rat on the kaku thing?!

Wilderness

Not a peep with only a few hours to go...

I demand to hear about a rat on crystal meth

Which do you prefer?  The rat on cocaine or the rat on marijuana?

1of5 Michio Kaku's TIME Daytime

I can't help but think that there is possible a hidden meaning in what was picked to stream on the test stream.
Maybe in some cryptic way, Mr. Bell is trying to let us know that it will be only a matter of -time- before he returns to us.

Just a thought.

Kind Regards:)

waaaah I'm female on the internet and I expect special treatment!

get over it

Not even close! My observation is he is a badass towards me (and other women) but when a man calls him out on his shit, he cows. It makes him appear weak. I've no patience for weak men. Believe me, I can hold my own. Special treatment is insulting.

I wouldn't be surprised but it's beyond annoying. The cryptic stuff, that is.

Are we still actually expecting Art to be live tonight?

An eleventh hour reprieve perhaps?

No, I wrote a core open source python program that is used with iptables firewalls. The code I wrote is found in the majority of *nix based router solutions. It is routinely used for blocking TCP/IP traffic based on either a database query, blacklist, or whitelist.

Additionally, I adapted that code to automatically ban mail servers, which were spam sources, from being able to connect to a destination server. I also wrote a portion of the TOR website, and a program which identified ssh dictionary attacks based on behavior observed in the ssh log- and disallowed further connections.

That's the PUBLIC stuff I can talk about.

But I've worked for Apple Computer, been an IT director a number of times, and have owned an ISP.

No you cannot have my resume.

Oh.. and fuck you :)

I hope they do not put the Gorilla on cocaine! Yikes!

Tell us more about the program. Not being sarcastic either. Where can I read about it? Any website documentation for it?

Check your post history and med dosage, you were threatening violence and talking about your tits to someone else.  I only said two things to you.

Sigh.  Already demonizing some vague corporate entity?  Was Jess's base not big enough?

My original message:

QuoteSeems to me that Jess is the real villain here. SUCK DICK, JESS!!!

j/k btw

You seem to have missed that last part....  ::)

I'm expecting something on the stream, not xm. Maybe a recording, update, or live. The "programming of the stream" makes me believe there is something more to come.
