The GabCast (A podcast about BellGab)

Started by onan, October 22, 2013, 05:30:19 PM

At the risk of sounding like a punch bowl turd, I turned off tonight's show ten minutes after it veered into political opinion with no end in sight.  I can get that stuff anywhere, and listen to Gabcast to get away from it for a couple of hours. It's a lot more fun when it sticks to gossip and innuendo.

Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed it, although I was disappointed that SV pulled a Sly Stone (or Axl Rose for you youngsters) and failed to show up as advertised.  That man could read the instructions on a box of suppositories and make it sound like a royal proclamation!

I must not have been paying attention to close, I don't remember that.

On the funny side, someone just said bellgab is one of the biggest forums on the internet.

That person must not internet much.

Should give the show more time, they rip on Keith and Art pretty hardcore, and now they are talking about some guy named falkie.

It's an election year.

The notion that Bellgab needing to evolve is worth following. Maybe add a front page of written articles? What would they be about and who would write them?

Leo Asshat. He is bored. He doesn't get to use the copy & paste as much as he wants to.

I know some people loathe the Falkie talk, but it cracks me up endlessly.

I ate horse meat once. I still don't approve of raising horses for food, for reasons that should be obvious, but the next time I come across a freshly dead horse, I'm whipping out the knife and fork.

I mean that both ways!

I didn't know the gabcast was so interesting, and MV was so knowledgeable and able to riff on a wide variety of topics and still maintain composure and articulation of the topic being discussed.

Hell, when people ask who should/could replace Heather, I would say this MV guy.

i forgot to mention on the show tonight...

i went to isidewith.com and answered all of the political positioning questions it uses to determine which candidate you most closely correspond with.  my results?

1) 83% Trump
2) 77% Bernie

isn't that remarkable?  i'm sure 99% of the people in a bernie crowd are of the belief that a trump voter couldn't possibly have anything in common with them, yet here i am with bernie in a close second place.  even before taking this test, i knew that a bernie presidency wouldn't necessarily bother me too much.  i think he's a FAR more viable candidate than hillary.  the democrats need to get their heads out of their asses.

i'd vote for trump over bernie in a general election, of course... but i'd support bernie over any of the other republican candidates... particularly rubio, bush, christie, or fiorina.

That other Art Bell forum/message board that artbell.com used to link and was called the "moderated forum" (formerly Midnight Riders) changed their name a couple weeks ago after Art stopped hosting MITD and now they are just a generic "paranormal" forum it looks like.
The url is now: http://paranormalforum.net/

But its not coming up right now...

Yeah, that's what someone told me.

It's a good thing, too.  A few weeks ago, I was making love to my wife in my usual, lumbering fashion, when I stopped suddenly, looked deeply into her eyes, and inquired, "You know what the world needs more of, don't you?" She silently stared in nonplussed annoyance.  The next words from my mouth were, "More paranormal chat forums."

They're filling a void, and I, for one, applaud them.  Godspeed, I say.  Godspeed.

they've already had like 3 different domain names thus far, and it seems none of them are working.  but they said they were "THE art bell fan forum!!"  how could this happen?  (yes, they actually had copied our little tagline.)

That was a very entertaining Gabcast MV.
