Of course, your life will never be the same.

Yeah, I'm at THAT part right now...

omg

I feel as if I have entered an alternate dimension of reality

I'd heard about the mayo at the time and thought I was disgusted. Months later I happened to learn the exact circumstances it was/is used in...

Once it has been heard it can never be unheard.

BobGrau

Maybe I should listen. Maybe it's like confronting Darth Vader again.

BobGrau

By the way, I've always fucking hated mayo anyway.

Just started the Dec. 2nd episode with FalkieGate and CasioGate.

Ho-lee Shit...

The first ten minutes alone is some the darkest shit I've ever heard.

I used to love it. Haven't touched the stuff since. I won't even keep the ingredients on the same shelf in the fridge.

I now use more mayo. We're all different, of course.

We of course can now never kiss. Your loss.

I've been consuming 2 jars of mayo a day since hearing that episode and I can quit any time I want.

This truthfully makes the Falkie thread make sense when it was just bizarre toxic place with no rhyme or reason before.

The Falkie thread is one of the most consistently entertaining things on the internet. People like to see it as a bunch of weirdos sharing their odd obsession about a retarded elderly man. That is quite true, but it can also often flare into life and change direction unexpectedly, and you get some of the funniest shit you will read anywhere. Falkie's total lack of self-knowledge, his inability to NOT (that's a joke that only Falkie insiders will get) tell everyone the most intimate and mundane details of his sordid life, are just the fertiliser for people to change it into comedy gold. It may sound odd, but you do need some sophistication to read the Falkie thread, and a lot of people don't get the joke and see it as simply depressing. If you see it as an opportunity to riff on his lunatic digressions and forget that he has any feelings at all (because he loves the attention, and anything you say to him will be lapped up like a large jar of Hellmann's) then you start to get the speed of it. Quite honestly, I see it as a sort of ongoing Absurdist art project, and the more contributors the better.

It takes sophistication to appreciate a man who's led a traumatic life and has obvious challenges be brutalized on the internet for pennies?  ::)

It take a certain sophistication to realise that he loves the attention that he is getting and that the animus directed against him is not really personal. Otherwise, why else would he do it? Nobody is forcing him to come on there. If you notice, when the thread gets a bit slow he will pop on and stir it up a bit. He is not the smartest guy in the world but he has a certain cunning, and the thread gives him an outlet he wouldn't have any other way. That's why the sanctimonious stuff about the thread is out of place. It is really pretty harmless compared to the sort of stuff that is purveyed on other threads and is considered more serious. Consider the Falkie thread BG's own Wack Pack and you are getting somewhere close.

Re PBS's recent comments on the subject, could we have an anonymous Bellgab Cougar line?
We absolutely should, and I will pitch that idea next time I am invited to host.  ;D

Kudos on knowing the word "sordid". I recently used the word in a post and spelled it sorrid. I got a red underline and was wondering if perhaps there was only one "r" is sorrid. Turns out, it's spelled S O R D I D. I assume that I have been pronouncing it wrong all these years as well. The shame.

When you live the kind of life I do, that word crops up quite often, usually on police reports.

Dear God I forgot about some of the things in the Falkie interviews/call ins. I have nine hours to kill today, maybe I will marathon the Gabcast.

I think this post belongs on the Falkie thread where Syphilis is being discussed.

When I was a kid we used to have a friend of the family called Phyllis, who was known affectionately as 'Syphilis', because she had been around the family for ages and was almost impossible to get rid of.

Oh, and if I have it, IB, then chances are so do you, so don't get cocky!  :-*

You bastard. Airing dirty laundry in public.  :D

(And frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if you had it. You seem to be a lad about town.)

One of the earliest Gab Cast shows had Senda call in; and basically spoke for about ten minutes without taking a breath. Then (I think) MV asked him a question to which Senda didn't answer, but instead ranted on....and on...and on... I think in total he ranted for about 25 minutes. I called in and asked if he was self aware, I think it was Aldus who suggested self awareness was over rated. Senda speaks on the telephone exactly how he types...His mouth just flaps and any bollox comes out.

I've lived my life mayo free before and especially after the falkie revelation.  After the falkie mayo "technique" came to light it made mayo even more disgusting.

but we are digressing here... can we please get the mayo and falkie out of our gabcast?

I'm thinking bleach but realistically speaking I think we may need some highly concentrated hydrochloric acid for this job.
