Should I call in to discuss some of the suspicious 9/11 specs and speculations?

Perhaps higher speed cameras would have helped us at the pentagon capture those missing frames with the airplane in it. Ruminate on that Rumsfled.

no.

Please don't use The GabCast thread to promote your crappy podcast.

guess you might be facing a couple of technical hurdles there.

For anyone who has not listened to the most recent gabcast, the gabcast will no longer be posted in podcast form. The only way to listen will be live.

MV, I wish you would re-consider posting the gabcast in podcast form. There are a lot of people who for one reason or another can not listen live. Frequently the gabcast would get more downloads than the spec sheet. Recording and posting the gabcast wouldn't be that much more difficult sense you are going to be doing the show anyway. I am really not sure why you wouldn't want to post the gabcast?

I like the spec sheet and plan to listen to that too. Please at least consider it.

well you *could* set up vlc to record it ...
there is a  few posts on that somewhere on this site ...

I used VLC to do that very thing with Somewhere In Time shows a few years back. Maybe it has changed, but I had to be there to start the recording when the show started. That really doesn't help those that can't listen live due to other commitments.

command prompt
cvlc "http://some .streaming.site:port" --sout/file/mp3:\path\you\want\to\save\to\filename.mp3 --run-time=<time in seconds> --stop-time=<time in seconds> vlc://quit
this records the stream immediately

if you dump that into the task scheduler, then it starts when task scheduler runs it . i usually use the same parameter for run-rim and stop-time.
example:
cvlc "http://50.7.98.106:8457" --sout/file/mp3:C:\users\username\Desktop\gabcast.mp3 --runtime=7200 --stop-time=7200 vlc://quit
7200 seconds is 2 hours.

i recommend testing 1st as the very newest vlc , the vlc://quit doesnt seem to work as expected, at least on linux.
on linux i wrote a short script goes like so:

#this is a comment. comments are good
cvlc "http://50.7.98.106:8457" --sout/file/mp3:C:\users\username\Desktop\gabcast.mp3 --runtime=7200 --stop-time=7200 & #the & backgrounds the process
sleep 7260 #waits 7260 seconds to run the next command
killall vlc #kills the vlc process

then i made the script executable and dumped it into cron (the linux task scheduler)

/*edit*/
you may need to use just vlc instead of cvlc on the windows command line.  clearly i need a windows box to test this on .

/*another edit*/

or follow the instructions here and then put the shortcut into the task scheduler to start recording whenever. however it has no stop time ...

I use Audio Hijack Pro to record SIT.

You set a time you want to record, a time you want to end and let it do the work.

You choose an application you want to record (my case Firefox browser) and from there you can mute the speaker from the app while it's recording.

We need a show we can call into.  Going through show withdraws....

Are we gonna have an emergency show to discuss the current MITD drama?  Some wild speculation might calm my nerves.

If it's as serious as you say, I will want to talk about it in our first half hour of tonight's Future Theater. I have my own ideas about "music," and we're talking to Marty Willis, another Dark Matter host. Including Angel, there are 4 DM hosts on just this one show. We talk call-ins at (786) 245-8127 if you want to talk.

Is there a show tonight? I have been up almost 24 hours straight, I might be a really good time by then..LMAO!

Where is our free show?

If I don't get my free show again soon, I'm gonna boycott by not paying the zero cents I usually pay for it.
