the 77 vs 88 thing reminds me of how she got the survivor and death numbers backwards when those people got stuck down in that mine. maybe she was psychic but just dyslexic.

I have to admit, I used to watch her on Montel for the entertainment value.  I honestly don't remember Ms. Berry on, though.  When I first met my SO, they told me all about how Randi gave her a chance to prove her abilities and she never accepted.  I started looking up videos of all her inaccurate predictions.  It wasn't until I started reading up on these cons, Sylvia Browne, Kevin Trudeau, et al., that I started raging.  Taking advantage of desperate people in need makes you part of the lowest of the low in my book.

I used to watch those shows too when I was a kid, one of my favorites was I think Sally Jessie Raphael (or whatever it was) and was on people that have sex with ghosts.  On the topic of psychics, it sure would have been nice if even one of them could have predicted the earthquake that just hit outside of Lima, Peru (where I am) about 45 minutes ago.  You'd think the entire ground shaking under a city of about 10 million people would be a psychically intensive event.
