I listened to a recent show where Noory stated that he wanted to do a show about children who were raised in the wild by animals. Was I high? or did he really say this? he then rambled off various scenarious of supposed now adults who were raised by various animals- goats, wolves, monkeys. Oh lord. I can only imagine what that show would be like assuming Noory hosts it...

There's a story on C2C's website now about a British woman who claims to have been raised by South American monkeys. Probably where Simple George got the idea...

Man PB you just never run out of gas!!  Is this a daily thing now like you have your specified "Jorch n Tommy" time after dinner or in the morning with coffee?

Something like that.  I keep thinking it's about done, then I'll have 3 or 4 ideas, sit down and draw them up in an hour or so - I just start one and the dialogue sort of completes itself pretty quickly as I go along.  I'll do them as long as the ideas come and they make me laugh - I can't wait to see what these characters are up to next.

Even though Ian and the regular guests are easy to make fun of, nothing much about them occurs to me for this, unfortunately.

Before I scrolled down to read "I wuz raised by squirrels," wild hamsters came to mind.  ;D  I could see Jorch mindlessly running on a hamster wheel.

Looks like Jorch got to "live the dream."  Too bad it's at the listener's expense.  :P

PB...

when you finally retire from your pursuits as this generation's leading cartoonist, i'm going to have all of the panels placed in book form (in order) and made available for sale.  the proceeds will either go to you or a charity of your choosing or whatever you want.  it's going to be an awesome toilet read.

popple

I think the proceed should go towards the rehabilitation of mean babies.

the current state of c2c can't be helping their moods, so i think putting an end to that abomination is a good start.

Sounds good, I'd be pretty shocked if proceeds covered costs.. but what do I know

I wonder if we could get Tommy and George to sign a few..

I think George is starting his own charity (at least he keeps telling us he is... but then again, he was building a Hawaiian studio...)  A certain portion of subscriptions will be donated to his charity, the rest he keeps.  I am thinking if you offer him the same type of deal (you know- books are $15 each and he can donate some to his charity once he sets it up, if he sells enough books, and you take his word that he has followed through) he might just sign a few.

Simple George and his ManCave lol.
He wants a mancave that actually looks like a cave.  I guess he didn't realize it was a figure of speech.

pb... i've downloaded every cartoon in preparation for the book.  95 in total.  that'sh jusht unbuleevabul.

i'll probably have the book printed through viovio.com, but if someone knows a better place to have this done, let me know.

i won't start on this until you say you're finished, though.  hopefully that won't happen for some time to come.

He's been talking up his charitable work for years now.  I wonder if there's any sort of paper trail for this "charity"?  If you make claims that you're collecting and operating a charitable organization, even a small one, don't you have to file certain paperwork?

Hahahaha..... ;D  I wonder which of these Jorch thinks is his Jimmy Stewart impersonation.

I don't think PB should ever consider himself finished with such abundant subject material.  The Jorch and Tommy "books", that's right plural, should be released yearly just like any other daily comic strips worth collecting.  I still read some of "the far side" and "calvin and hobbes" collections I have.  As long as George makes a mockery of himself and coast PB's cup shall runneth over.

ItsOver

That's what I was thinking, too.  "Jorch and Tommy, Vol. 1."  I still have some "Bloom County" compilations stashed somewhere.

MV/Liberace!

sounds good to me.  pb... u think we should hit the presses when we reach 100?  i'd also like you to develop a cover for the book if you don't mind, but it would probably be best not to share the cover here so it will be a surprise.

For me, Calvin and Hobbes was the best ever.  Here is the last one, Dec 31, 1995, how can it be that long ago.
