Mike Siegel's tenure as Coast to Coast was fairly short, so my memories of his shows have faded. Also, WABC in NY cancelled Coast to Coast shortly after He took over from Art (and brought the show back when Art returned).

What I remember most about Mike was one of his last shows, when He announced the return of Art Bell as main host of Coast to Coast. He took the time to praise Art Bell, and welcome him back to CTC. It was a very classy and mature moment by Mike Siegel, and I tip my cap to him for that. In comparison, George Noory's recent announcement of Art Bell's new show was brief and rushed.

Oh, I just couldn't stand Siegel. I've heard him cover some other radio shows and I didn't like him any better. He did a C2C show with Silver Ravenwolf and I'm still laughing.

VtaGeezer

Mike Siegel hasn't been associated with C2C for 12 years and that was negligible.  Why on earth does he rate his own (mostly dead) section?  Did his PR guy start it?

NXOEED

I didn't care for Mike Siegel while he was on C2C. That was mostly due to the fact that I had been so heartbroken over Art leaving the show, but also because his shows seemed to focus disproportionately on environmental issues that were not terribly interesting to me at the time.

He ended up doing a show out here in Phoenix a few years back. It was mostly news and politics. I thought he was surprisingly good at it. He probably just wasn't very interested in the paranormal.

I actually really liked Barbara Simpson. I had hoped she would take over Coast when Art announced that he was  retiring again. I wish she would still occasionally host a weekend or something.

I liked Barbara, too.

Yes Barbara was good.  Didn't they call her "The babe in the bunker"?

Let's start a bring Barbara back campaign!

I liked the call that Barbara got once from a "time traveller" who told her the Trunks story from Dragonball Z.  In two years, robots are gonna attack the earth.  He gave me a vial of liquid, but I don't know what I'm supposed to do with it... I was laughin my ass off once I caught on...

She has a political talk show Sat and Sun late afternoons on KSFO (San Francisco), which can be streamed

oh MAN do i remember the siegel years.  i mean year.  it was really a tough listen.  siegel is actually a pretty smart guy, but he had no business hosting art's show.

Morgus

Remember the phony "Vanna the Cat"? :D

OK, that's what I'm afraid of........ ???

Mike did two episodes this week for Howie Carr out of Boston.

Not a terrible show.  Mike was pretty knowledgable.  Quite impressive actually.  But lacking the New England humor of the regular host.

I was going to call in and ask about his cats, but didn't have the time. ;D

Aussie Dave

I always wondered what this guy did after Coast.

I tried very hard to like this guy's style but I thought he was just trying too hard to emulate the master and nobody was going to live up to that legacy.

I also thought that he made up his fondness for cats to get on the good side of Art's fans. I can't remember if he tried to make out as if he was doing the show from home like Art but was really in a studio.

I found a few of the shows hosted by Siegel in some Art Bell & C2C torrents I downloaded. I listened to like 2 or 3, horrible stuff. He seemed completely uninterested in the topics discussed and the genre in general.

yep it was obvious the network just picked Siegel to take over, though he was just a political talk show host, not into paranormal subjects at all.
he even made up like he had a cat named "Vanna" to try to get on the good side of Art's cat loving listeners.
but the ratings plummeted and the network had to go back to Art and make a deal to get him back after only a few months...
