Perhaps you're drawing an analogy between this and his So album. If so, that's quite a stretch. While it wasn't my particular favorite of his it was his most commercial venture ever, but I'd still say it was, at least, somewhat artistic in nature. However, further to your point everyone was selling out in the 80s. Even once hard driving rock bands such as ZZ Top were now doing songs like She's Got Legs. Musically, there were really a lot of times in the 80s where I thought I was in hell. :

The supposed Bobo is an Imposter! Art better be careful. 2 days ago at 4:30 AM the Pahrump Constable was called to one of the brothels near Art's house. (I'm not going to say which one, might be bad for business) When the constable arrived he was met by the manager and a very distressed Latino maid. My fellow Gabbers, you guys love the truth right? Ok here it is, not that I expect anybody to believe it.
Everything said about the Stalker was true, every bit of it.

You said that the stalker wanted you off the air, so you complied with that to keep your family safe. But then you went and did a show, and told everyone that you would make unannounced appearances in future. There's either a stalker who is a sufficient threat to keep you off the air, or there isn't. The only one who is truly undermining the idea of a 'stalker' is you. People don't like being messed around, that's all.

Even before the July start of the show I had COPD but it was at a level I could handle and in some ways still is but this is a smoking related disease that gets worse and it has. I am not at Deaths door yet but it has worsened since I left the air. There is nothing I love more than doing my show but it is tougher and tougher to do. The truth is I loved smoking and still miss it. There is nobody to blame other than myself. I may come back and do some fill in shows but five days a Week is not going to happen.

I don't know if you have diagnosed yourself with COPD (or you have been to the hospital and had tests and been told that you are suffering from a chronic lung condition) but the word 'chronic' means that it will only get worse over time. Why would you undertake a show under those circumstances when you knew that you had a condition that would diminish your capacity to perform?

It is strange to me that people make things up, but I guess that is a natural thing when they have no or little information but the truth is just that, the truth. One thing I do not do is lie so as unlikely as this chain of events may seem to some it is the simple truth.

Falkie could have written this. You say you don't lie, but you keep insisting that Heather is a wonderful broadcaster who could go all the way. At the very least you are being disingenuous. It's one thing to be supportive, it's another to try and sell us a bill of goods. We know that she is sub-par at best, so stop trying to pretend that she is anything other than a woman out of her depth. Don't treat people like idiots. Nobody can say that the stalker was made up, of course, but you can't even get your story straight about what actually happened. Every time you come on here now it's with an axe to grind. If you spent less time trying to make people feel guilty then perhaps they would not be so critical.

I didn't say that was the beginning of the whole idea, but that Bell show with William Thomas was in about 2001, and it WAS what put "chemtrails" on the map for a lot of people.  Art, more recently, took a clearly false conspiracy-theory story (not chemtrails) and told people they should take it seriously. He simply didn't do any research beyond reading it on an idiotic internet conspiracy-theory site. He then repeated it as if it was factual - NOT just for discussion purposes. I don't remember which site, or even what the story was. Either Art wants to be respected for his opinion, or he is just a fear-monger. I think he wants the former. In fact, I'm sure he does.  That's why people DO respect him.

For all I know? I have seen LOTS of claims of "low level spraying", but not ONE documented case of it actually taking place. It's just one more BS aspect of what chemmies pass around and around and around to each other, which has little or no basis in fact, but they all come to believe it because they have seen it repeated so many times.

So you come back knowing you had this debilitating disease and not ONE word. We lost before it was even STARTED!!! Hoped you would have been more considerate of us. We know all about your privacy issues, we would have been more than supportive, again.

This forum was started when Art wasn't on the air. It has now survived two incarnations of short lived runs of Art's shows. It will find its own direction. Or it won't. Not like BellGabbers are going to agree on a "Direction" or follow rules anyways. Specious suggestion.

Take the fact that DMRN is on the brink, and crimping changes on the way for internet broadcasters and add to it the iHeart and Cumulus are nearly belly up - we are on the verge of radiopocalypse.  Even Snoory is gonna feel this in the most optimistic scenario.

There will be stations in the US and Canada up for sale dirt cheap as far as stations go. Fot those that are ready to get one this will be a good time. The question is what to do with one once you get it to keep it going Creating localized formats may help revive the interest.
