Oh come on, you think some posters on one Internet forum equal libel? The amount of people who actually see these posts are far too small to cry libel and claim your reputation is ruined.

People have had small magazines shut down because they claimed they were being libelled; the magazine couldn't support the legal expenses and it had to fold. The smaller concerns are more in danger of being harmed because they can't hire expensive legal teams to defend them. Because it is considered 'published', the number of users/readers is immaterial because, theoretically, it is out there for everyone to read. The most guaranteed way to make more people aware of the 'libel' is to make a fuss about it, as has happened here. It stirs things up and it all gets out of hand. It's almost always better to bite on a towel and forget about it...unless you are a lawyer.

It's hard not to read that Twitter announcement in the style of Amy: 'Hey, guys, sad NEWS!!! etc. I never understood why someone didn't simply ask her to read like a human being and not a malfunctioning robot.
