No insult meant! Glad you are doing well. Just saying the system is suspect and even those I know "in it" relatives who are doctors say to be wary of unnecessary (especially elective) surgery and drugs without second opinions (ESPECIALLLY if you are older, simply going to a hospital can get you into trouble due to ancillary infections and stress of recovery) and also bitch about the the problems of bad pain medication (the DEA crackdown so people who need can't, and lack of over-sight and pain-med mills and those going "to the street" which causes more problems.)

Oh, albrecht, this is why they are said to have a practice. Occasionally they put together the right meds and the right surgery, but they are still just practicing to see what works.

Puhleeeeze people .. Art has stated SEVERAL times that he doesn't want to hear your back stories/remedies since his is fucked beyond repair. No surgery. No treatment. No shit. So just knock it off and suckit up on your own back issues.

We can only hope his back will let him do some shows ... hopefully many .. but your remedies don't do him any good. Think about it .. sliding down a telephone pole and landing on your ass. Lost my son to a complete brain dead coma, doctors wanted to pull full life support after 3 weeks but decided for family's sake to hold off until after Christmas. He came out of the coma on 11:45pm Christmas Eve.

Then maybe those with chronic back issues should start a thread titled "how I fixed my aching fucking back" .. maybe? Pirates on youtube have many alt accounts. This is how they get away with posting so many shows without receiving a copyright notice. If their account does get closed, they just upload it to their other channels. Youtube is a mess.

An indirect way to help back and or joint problems is to lose weight if one if overweight, that makes a giant difference.  As far as backs go, the best exercise for a back is simple walking.   Sometimes people look for far out remedies, forgetting or not realizing the basics. 

I have had back and joint problems that come and go, but not nearly as bad as some people.  I also used to be a massage therapist, and of course massage therapy and chiropractic can be helpful.

He did. We must all remember that what may work for us doesn't work for everyone. I am sure Art has his own remedies that work for him. After 40 years of flying helicopters and jumping out of perfectly good airplanes, I feel his pain. But, He will be back as he said. It wont be the first time he has worked while under the weather , so to speak.

AND, lets not forget that Art was the one that did bring up his back hurting and going to see Doctor yesterday ... also, its kinda normal for people to start sharing experiences when they see a comment like the one Art posted ...  (IMHO).
