Duh, yeah. If he was threatened, his family is in alleged danger etc. and if there is a possibility that it could be related then why wouldn't he? Wouldn't you?
Why bother this late in the game? The short answer is that there would be instances where I would, and I can think of several scenarios where I might not.

Not having all of the information, the details, and the specifics (let alone the stress of having the events occur to me) makes it impossible for me to even venture a guess as to what my response would be.

If nothing else- I can be honest.  I probably would file- but there would be situations where I would not.  Can you do the same thing- or are you one of the people who believes that you would file no matter what the circumstances?

I'm feeling a bit disenchanted at the moment, but I have felt that about Art before and have managed to be able to forgive him enough to enjoy his shows when he comes back on the air again.  This time, I won't know that for sure until it happens -- his return.  I do think it's a big "if" but not entirely out of the question.

If he does come back, as Keith has stated, it will be only via online streaming and not terrestrial radio (which is sad).  It's disappointing that all the campaigning that was done to get actual Radio Stations to pick up the show's feed was all for naught.  I don't think any radio station manager is going to be willing to have Art's show on their stations ever again:  he's proven one time too many he's undependable.   So, he has a stalker.  Still could have been dealt with **so** much better.  Incidences numbers 2 and 3 would likely not even have occurred if he'd put in major security measures after the first incident (which I got the feeling it was not done to the extent it should have).  Maybe Art didn't want to spend the money that would have taken; if so, that was foolish, coz then two more incidences occurred that didn't need to have happened.  It all leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and I do wonder if the "incidences" were not just Art being paranoid.  Hard to know for sure, since it seems there is no real evidence to support their validity (which is, of course, why people are questioning them).
Breakups are hard.  :(

This is the obvious reaction when people have reason to believe they've been lied to

Convinced is a better word than believe. You guys have convinced yourselves that you've been lied when you almost certainly haven't. Not that I think that it's even that complicated, I think most of you guys just want to stir the shit.

Some homicidal maniac out to kill your family is supposedly on the loose but because it's been a week there's no point in "bothering" with trying to trace where he called from where he said he was going to slaughter your whole family.

Because it's been a week...

OK

More to the point - why didn't he do it as soon as it happened?

Well, this has been quite the character study.

And the same people who scrutinize George Noory's every comment and action were going to just keep rolling with it every time Art quit?

And, if the worse case scenario is true, and Art's latest departure is all some sort of facade to put a better face on why he needs to depart so abruptly, then he's no better than George Noory (who, granted, has pulled some shit from time to time).

I'm still trying to figure out what success was supposed to look like.

^ That's the funniest part, imo.  Perhaps he thought that the whole "gravity thing" is just an elaborate conspiracy that we're all fools to believe, orchestrated to keep the secret of unassisted human flight from mankind  ;D

Kinda funny.  Not hilarious.  But it beats the heck out of answering the question.  Which, in case you've forgotten, was:

It's gotten to the stage that it was all an elaborate money making scheme and Art's laughing all the way to the bank apparently.

No; you owe me nothing.  Feel free to post jokes and butt paste pics as a way of trying to distract people from the fact that there's no good answer for the question if Art is telling the truth.

That's cool.  If you think that's an effective way of arguing, go for it.

But, if you actually tried to answer the question, you wouldn't look so much like an idiot.

I have lived in a different world than some people.  Perhaps that is why I laugh when people suggest that if he just took the $20 000 reward and put it towards security that all would be fine.  Suppose I threatened his kid, wife and him.  Now you are talking at least 4 armed guards for 24 / 7 protection of the three of them running hundreds of thousands annually.  His girl has to go to school in Paharump with bodyguards and lead one fucked up life.  And all of this so that he can continue to air a show nightly to keep his "loyal" fans happy?

At 70 years old- why risk the life you love to keep a few internet posters happy?

***And before I get the same old "he should report it" crap- if I were the guy making threats, I would be certain to make it clear that if he just quits it all ends...  Again- a hundred different scenarios and ALL of which are speculation at this point.

***And being as I am not even hiding behind my VPN right now, I really hope that I am not even remotely close...

Yeah that's not true.  As a rule of thumb, the more people something, the less likely it is to be true.

Whoa, let's not talk crazy here.  Art on his worst day is still his own man.  Noory surrendered his nuts to ClearChannel the day they signed his first check.  They're on display in a bottle of formaldehyde in the lobby, actually, above a little brass plaque that says "George Noory's jewels:  a company man til the bitter end."

All you guys accomplish when you do this kind of thing is make it obvious that you can't explain a huge problem with Art's story.  So instead of trying to deal with it honestly and forthrightly, you  make a snide remark, or post a funny pic/animation.

Hey, that's cool.  It impresses your buddies, and no doubt Art, but anyone who's open-minded about all this stuff can see exactly what you're doing.  And you're not helping your side.
