George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

Also, just listened to the lat clip of batemans archives - that is the most TWO FACED shady slimy back-stabbing jibe at Art I have ever heard!

Juan

Contracts in broadcasting are variable.  Most reporters, producers, low level anchors etc. are like the NFL - you are under the contract until the boss decides to get rid of you.  Then you're out.  With the additional problem of there being a non-compete clause in the contract.  In most states, the non-compete has to be reasonable as to time and place, and it's usually interpreted to mean you can't work for another station in the market for a period of months - maybe even a year.  But for national talent, such as George, the non-compete is national and for a longer term.  Art, for instance, had to stay off the air for two years.

I think that George was better in the beginning, though with some shortcomings.  I think the disaster for him was moving to Cheap Channel headquarters in LA and being under the thumb of executives, sales weasels, and promotions people.  These folks rarely have their thumbs on the pulse of the show, but do have contact with outside people (politicians, potential advertisers, other lying sales weasels, etc.) who want to change the show.  That's where you get the absurd idea that a 60-year old man who sits behind a computer will suddenly go on the P90X program.  Suits will order talent to do one thing, then a week later after drinking at the club after golf on the weekend, will bring the talent in and ream him for doing what he was ordered to do.  TV stations have news directors to run interference between anchors and executives, but I don't think Noory has anyone to do that for him.  After 10-years, it's a wonder he's not completely insane.

If Norry would stop hosting quack "doctors" and disseminating dangerous medical advice, I would more-or-less ignore him.

My feelings exactly, JW. sNoory should have enough common sense to stay far, far away from offering his opinions when dealing with matters of science. But unfortunately, his XXL ego and bountiful bevy of yes-men/women always seem to override the better of him.  Like common sense not being as common as we'd like to believe it is in society, possessing and utilizing a conscience doesn't appear to be a commonality, either.

man.
Wow. Zero effect. Powerless to control events. Things must be grim in C2C studio these nights. They go through the motions because they have nowhere else to be, nothing else to do. But they know it's almost over, and there's not a thing they can do to stop it. Plenty of happy-talk propaganda going out about long-term contracts and so many affiliate stations, and every night is a "very special guest" dredged up at the last minute. But few are listening besides a handful of true-believers and bitter-enders. And even they don't really believe what they hear anymore.

Almost exactly like it was in the Führerbunker in late April of 1945

I'm sure Noory has a lot of listeners mostly because options are limited at night. However, George lacks avid listeners/fans. He has a few but no where close to art. Most snoory listeners are very very casual , who probably would believe his name is dave if you told them so.

Where I am I can press a button and switch to the BBC World Service any time I like. And I do -- believe me I do.

Coast to Coast AM is on its last breath, if that.  It might be on its way to the morgue.

Will George Noory be the one to finally disprove H. L. Mencken's "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public"?

The demise of coast to coast is being greatly exaggorated.

I wish they'd at least bring in different guest host. While hilly rose also sucks he's at least a professional and makes wells/Dave look like the clowns that they are!

"Thank God he didnt want to come back to this show - THAT would have been a PROBLEM for him"

Can anyone explain this jibe from Noory!?
I think he said that would have been a problem.

Dave knows premier offered art any time slot he wanted back in January.

Black Hole

After just reading post after post after post of what almost sounds like excuses for you could've liked Nemorrhoid got to say I mean I'll just come out and say it, I hate George Nowhere Man and I know I would loathe him if I ever met his ugly face!  I cannot believe how sappy things have been sounding After finding what I thought was this lovely contempt and disgust for that Fucking Fraud.

I said much earlier on in a post that listening to Nowhere Noory mention Art Bell and his coming back to the airwaves almost sounded like he was describing the death of someone, he's got much more energy and excitement in his tone when he talks about actual death he makes me fucking sick.  And I do wish him harm.  I hope he has an out of body experience to hell and never returns.

You can even hear in the way he congratulated Bateman the second time he says his name just Bateman that there was tonality in it like he's fully aware that that guy is on this site!
He reads every post here and that's another reason why his shows really really suck and he's out there in outer space, he's reading this shit 24/7 and you better believe it!

As for the long-term contract, that does not mean a thing.
It makes me think of the sports analogy.
Right before the are going to fire the head guy, managment comes out with the "dreaded vote of confidence".
Next thing you know, the manager is fired. Most managers have time left on their contracts when they get the sack.

I doubt Dave is going to be let go anytime soon. Premrat holds its listeners in total contempt and they don't give a rats ass about what they put out.
On the other hand, WHO CARES?
Welcome back Art. Is it September 16th yet?

Thank you! You've saved me from the torture of having to listen to a lot of Dave's show.

Bateman's calls are hilarious. "Colon Blow"   I'm still cracking up.
And, I can't believe that the screeners couldn't tell that "Marylin" and "Linda" were not women.

Noory is done ...... big contract?  So what?  Who really cares about Coast to Coast and the train-wreck it's become.

As mentioned earlier ..... Art would do well to address what happened commercially/personally to the show, in the first show, and then move on. Move ahead.  Noory has had his nuts kicked for a decade, and now with the return of a real and original para-normal show, just leave Noory alone .... he'll fade fast.

LOL.  ;D  Führer Noory continues to ramble on about his "1000 year contract" and how another milliwatt station has been added to the Reich.  Reich Marshall Tommy must be getting just a little nervous with the sounds of Art's followers filtering through to the bunker.  If his Twinkie stash runs dry, he'll be in a full panic crawl to the last Junkers out.  ;)

As Leonard Cohen would say
"Hallelujah"

and for your enjoyment, the lyrics:

Now I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you
To a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Baby I have been here before
I know this room, I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew you.
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
Love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

There was a time you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show it to me, do you?
And remember when I moved in you
The holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

You say I took the name in vain
I don't even know the name
But if I did, well really, what's it to you?
There's a blaze of light
In every word
It doesn't matter which you heard
The holy or the broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

I did my best, it wasn't much
I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch
I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you
And even though
It all went wrong
I'll stand before the Lord of Song
With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

I'm with you on this Black Hole.  I guess many folks are so excited about Art's return that they are in many ways cutting Dave slack now.

The "man" has demonstrated in so many ways, especially recently, just how petty and small he is.  There are numerous examples: Cutting AB from the credits; asked if would be on AB's show - "Absolutely not!"; Pointing out his charitable acts; Belittling various people, etc., etc.

Add to this his numerous and frankly disturbing personality traits and no, he is not a nice little man.  I also agree Black Hole, I would hate to meet him or anyone like him.  His twisted fascination with pain and suffering of people and animals (heartwarming) is one of the worst things.  Followed closely by him being a clueless narcissist - a horrifying combination.

Regardless of how bad he sucks, and how he has royally destroyed C2C, there is the personality of Dave himself which cannot be denied or watered down.  Just because he was coerced into a two week late acknowledgement of AB's return, I will not become an apologist for Dave Noorie.  I think he is a creepy little man, a type of person I would not want to be around.  As repeatedly mentioned, his on-air and video examples of quirks, tells, ticks, and mannerisms speak volumes about him that cannot be forgotten or denied (such as the police officer someone mentioned regarding Dave's personality).

I sir agree, and still hold contempt and disgust for the man known as Dave.  He is what he is, and some two-bit insincere corporate statement he made to appease the suits will not change that.

Thank you for listening, I now return you to your regularly scheduled forum on why Dave Noorie SUCKS...

Black Hole

and then there is shit like this Roy:

And I fucking quote:

"news last week, truly mind-boggling as well..."

"For those of you who do not know the guy..."

"Art Bell has decided he wants to come back into radio...  when you can have living legends like Art..."

"He's going to start ummmmmmmmmm, some time in September..."

"Art and I have sent an email or two to each other over the past week and he's very excited about his new endeavor."

What fucking gall, for those of you who don't know, are you kidding me?  It's mind boggling really??? it's more like a relief of pressure off the brain!  I'm glad he's coming back INTO radio instead of on radio.  And wow the "ummmmmmmmmm" about the actual date when he's been emailing with Art this week!!! Which is it Georgina, one or two fucking emails?

All good points.  And as I posted earlier, in Dave's carefully scripted acknowledgment of AB's return he still managed to make it all about himself.  He had to remind everyone how he had just renewed his contract.  He mentioned two or three ways how he was so glad Art wasn't going to be on regular radio, how if Art had wanted to come back to C2C how it would have been a problem for him (Dave), and also the bit about satellite "ya gotta pay for" and it isn't cheap or something like that.

Yeah, and like he wouldn't know the exact day and hour Art's return will be.  The emails with Art probably consisted of two total - Dave emailing Art some version of the prepared statement he read on air the other night (insincere and forced), and Art replying "Please do not email me anymore Dave.  I hate you and what you did to my show."

No its the second Sunday of the month, that used to be Ian's slot but now that he resigned its now John B. Well's regular night.
George Knapp gets the last 2 Sundays of each month, Noory gets the 1st Sunday of each month.

The only thing Jorch has to hold onto is that to listen to Art you need to pay for sirusxm. LOL YOU DON'T. Torrents will be available, and I bet a crafty Art fan will even hook up a free live stream to share. I've seen people do it for other xm shows.

People may not be directly paying to listen to C2C but they pay for electricity, internet and batteries, which allow them to tune in. And any time spent listening to the current show is an poor investment of their time, which they can never get back.

I've never regretted a moment of listening to Art, and I  never will. Paid or not.

I already know I'll replay his new shows over and over and over and over and over  8)
