So, Zuckerberg is making a run for the presidency and he's polling to see what people think about him. He says he wants to stop climate change and track all of our DNA. Here's a clue for him: Hey, Zuckerberg! We hate you almost as much as we hate Hillary. Keep going! You may yet surpass her.  ::) :D

Oh yeah, and how is that Fackbook makes money again?!  ???

Sure he'll lose, but because of you. Why would you suppose that? I think its fundamentally malevolent: (Do you need that explaining to you?)

Yes, pud. He'll lose because of me and rational people like me who DON'T vote for him. You understand that being a citizen I have some say in this and you don't, right?  :D

Zuckerberg has more people using his product in the USA alone than Trump has supporters throughout the world. Now, if he could convert his momentum (And he's a far better businessman than Trump has ever been) in business to a campaign, why shouldn't he have a shot? He's seen Trump do it appealing to the angry, dispossessed and uneducated..Zuckerberg has a much wider base to appeal to. He might fail the first time, but he's young, and won't get poorer..

I guess we'll just have to see. If people want an authoritarian state that wants to track your DNA and then sell that info to third parties then I guess they'll vote for him.  ::)

An interesting article with an obvious political slant but interesting none the less, particularly because the leftist admits much of the problem was a result of the 60s and the new style of "everything is relative" and associated thinking and philosophy. But also points out that from our Founding we've had jingoism, crackpots, religious zealots, racists, hucksters, con-men along with scientists, scholars, hard workers, etc. To cut it short a lot of the stuff from the 60s, and later Hollywood 'reality,' caused Trump and the populist and/or conspiracy bent on the Left and the Right (his theory.)

Tourists will probably benefit the country and economy more.

Google and their problems with "diversity."  I thought society was supposed to be inclusive.  That is what the left has been telling us for years.

There's been a bit of a political show in Australia for the past few weeks with resignations and accusations over a part of the constitution which requires federal parliament members to only have Australian citizenship.

There's been yet another twist in this whole affair.

So it seems that the New Zealand government was prompted to look into the citizenship status of Australian federal members of parliament, which has resulted in them contacting the Australian deputy prime minister (sort of like the vice president) Barnaby Joyce to inform him that he is a NZ citizen without knowing it.

Now the current government's single seat majority seems to be at risk, as his case has to be decided upon by the High Court as to whether he is eligible or not to hold office despite immediately renouncing the citizenship.
So what makes this even more dramatic? It seems that the Opposition Leader of the Senate, Penny Wong (whose own citizenship is in question), had her staff contact an MP of the NZ equivalent party of Australian Labor (her party), and this MP then prompted the NZ government to look at their laws and the citizenship status of the Deputy Prime Minister which now puts her party in a much stronger position - potentially one where they can take over power.

So now you have a situation where a member of the party not in government has actively caused a foreign government to interfere with a domestic issue for their own gain.

An article from 2000 following the McCain Republican campaign written by Tucker Carlson:

Ah, John McCain, warts and all.  He'll be nothing more than a memory by the time of the next presidential election.

Article seemed fairly positive about him. Maybe he got worse after that campaign?

He had certainly lost it by the time of the debates in 2008.

He has always campaigned as a conservative and as soon as the election results were over, acted like a democrat.

I think it showed a bit of a nasty side especially when talking about religious conservatives.  And that he was willing to talk shitty about others with no qualms whatsoever.

So...Iceland has used artificial selection and abortion to abort all unborn children with Down's syndrome. Oh the irony. That the left will end up eradicating themselves as those with genetic defects are all aborted and artificially selected out of existence.

QuoteThe war on statuary serves two purposes: The first is to humiliate Southerners in retribution for their support of Republican politicians and conservative causes, particularly religious and social causes. The second is to help Democrats win elections without white men.
