FYI, we are experiencing routine amounts of traffic.

What's happened is the system for calculating current online users was inadvertently configured to show users active for the last 12 hours. I'm going to leave it that way I think. It gives people a better idea of what this forum's usage really is over the course of a day.

Nuh-uh, MV, right now it's 1,070 guests plus under a hundred users (including Fort Rock--HI FR WE SEE U).  That's an alltime record, so what's your best explanation for this?

the "users online" threshold was set to 24 hours, not 12... so when you see the number of users online, both guests and registered users, you're seeing an accounting of any unique visitor who visited the forum in the last 24 hours.  if a user doesn't return after the 24 hour mark, they aren't counted among "users online" any longer.

sometimes people ask me how much traffic this forum gets.  i thought i'd provide some recent stats for your viewing pleasure.


first off, you can click here to see how many unique visitors (in parenthesis to the right of each line) this forum has had each day over the last few weeks according to google analytics.  august 29th was our busiest day since analytics stats began.


according to the forum software, we've had 281,185 page views (and counting) for the month of august.  we're about to set a new record in this regard.


based on these numbers, i think coastgab is easily the busiest and most interesting coast to coast forum.

noory's fav forums are pretty much dead with only one or two members posting a few times during the show plus very few new members added recently.
those sites don't even post about c2c much anyway, just a general chat with most of the posts are just hi and bye posts or complaining about their individual health issues.
reminds me of the old tv show the waltons, they just post hi john-boy, goodnight john-boy...

noory's weekly onair endorsements don't seem to be of much value, they might have the opposite effect in fact since noory's so-called "haters" forum gets more new members and daily activity then all the others.

actually, i don't think coast has the listeners they want you to think they have.  when dandan plugged the forum on the show TWICE in like one week, there was no noticeable increase in traffic.  whatsoever. that's ok.  i paid him his $100 anyway, as promised.

the quick onair forum plugs by callers and noory on friday nights go by so fast that most listeners probably miss them anyway.
probably only repeated longer plugs like the ones for the night's guest website have an effect on the web traffic - they have been able to shutdown some of the guest websites for a few hours from overload if they have weak servers...

I'm nursing a theory about that forum. I think it was Noory's creation all along and it didn't have any real (organic ones like here) members.

lots of those older sites died months ago, probably due to the popularity of facebook compared to old forum sites.
even those site admins must get tired of noory after awhile. 
the few remaining members seem to have moved to the other sites that noory promotes on friday nights, but they are dead too and appear to be withering away as well.
the few posters at those sites don't seem interested in c2c topics anyway and just seem to post hi's and bye's or talk about their personal health problems during the show. pretty boring. 

coastgab here is the only c2c oriented site that is active nowadays. its apparently more fun and popular to make of noory and the c2c guests.

Figuratively speaking. I meant that users who seek out the forum on their own due to INTEREST and not coercion or yes, even fake accounts. Nighthawkzone may have been just one dude with 10 accounts: the name after all says it all. His zone only!

There are a few reasons the NHZ went away - I know a few...

The admin (BadBoy) is an immature, pathologic control freak. A real dickhead, ass-licking butt-pirate. I'll tell you how I really feel some other time.

I joined the NHZ many years ago - a few months after it started. At the time, there were a few nice people, and even spoke to a couple of them on the phone. But it became apparent after only a few posts that something was very wrong. If BB didn't like whatever you posted - and I'm talking completely innocent posts - BB would delete them within seconds. Understand that BB had to be in complete control - ALL "nightly" chat threads were opened AND closed by him - he HAD to be the last poster - if he wasn't, he make sure and add a post at the end of a night's thread, THEN close it. Control freakazoid.

Well, I had a few friends there, who would PM me, and warn me about BB, and don't ever post ANYTHING other than the topic matter for that night's show, or else I'd have my posts deleted. This, of course came true - there are innumerable stories of former members who had the same problem. I was told, and later found out it was true, that BB would read people's private messages, so as to keep tabs on what they were talking about behind his back.

I was banned within perhaps a month - but those members who remained were invertebrate humans - completely spineless. They relinquished their freedom of thought for the comfort of being mentioned weekly on the radio by the One-Neuron Nooron - not dissimilar from those who once lived under Soviet rule, and would prefer to give up whatever freedoms they now have, for the relative "safety" of an oligarchical nanny-state, despite the tyrannical rule and their subsequent servitude. Remaining members - and there were very few at that, opted for servitude.

Well, BB pissed me off. So I decided to "get into his head." People who NEED to be in control can't stand it when they lose any tidbit of control. So I made it such that, he lost some control of his precious NHZ. My methods are not important - suffice it to say I saw to it that he lost some control, so that he would shut down his NHZ for days or weeks at a time - meaning ONLY members could read any posts. By doing this, however, it became pointless for Snoory to mention the NHZ over the air, when I had caused BB to shut it down for non-members. Fuck you BadBoy.

Those few members who were left were mind-numbed robots who drank the NHZ Kool-aid, and the whole site folded like a cheap umbrella.

We're pretty sure BadBoy never had sex with a girl/woman, so a cyber-based forum is all he had control over in his pathetic little world... that, and going to comic book conventions, and taking pictures of actresses from sci-fi tv shows and movies (at one time, I saw his private photo stash of these conventions - it was kinda sad )

RIP NHZ? Naw... fuck you BadBoy, fuck you NHZ, and fuck you George Snoory.

Someone really should ask Snoory on-air what happened to his beloved NHZ... if for no other reason, so as to hear him lie as to what really happened

In recent months, the FantasticForum2 site is obviously now Noory's fav forum he mentions on the air every friday night.
Noory is a member at FF2 and posts hi often in their nightly live c2c show thread.

But mostly the FF2 live c2c thread is just posts of play-by-play of the show by one poster named racehorse, hardly anyone else shows up.
Often the forum is closed to guests, for member-only reading.
Any hint of anti-noory posting will result in immediate banning with no warning, from experience.
That seems to be one of Noory's  requirements for his onair shoutouts to his fav forums.
