This is the second time in as many weeks that somebody has suggested that Bellgabbers are fragile flowers (or special snowflakes) who are likely to shy away from posting their opinions because others are too aggressive.  Also interesting to note that both times it was to protect "special snowflakes" on the right who might feel threatened.

You still haven't answered why it's important to you to know someone's age in order to have a discussion with them. I've made no secret about the fact that I like Jack as a poster and appreciate his wit, creativity and absurdist sense of humor but I'm not taking my cues from him. If he wants to be more open with people here about the details of his life that's his prerogative. I just don't get why you feel the need to pigeonhole people here into categories but the identity politics thing is starting to make a lot more sense to me now.

BTW, I'm not trying to act any way to fit into a particular category or group of people and if I ever start to I'd rather put a bullet in my brain. This is just organically who I am and what I think.

I'm not really afraid just wise enough to know that there are some dickheads who will attempt to use whatever personal angle they can on you here so why arm them. If you take issue with an idea or argument I'm putting forward I can almost guarantee you the reason is not my age.

We went through these same arguments in 2000 as well.  Some polling organization decided to find out what the results would have been if everyone who was eligible had voted (using statistical sampling).  It turned out the results would have been almost exactly the same, Bush would have won the Electoral vote and Algore would have won the popular vote - but by a slightly smaller margin.

Would that have been true this year?  Perhaps the Fake News folks at CNN et al. will make up a few articles and let us know.

I look forward to the day when there are more than 77 journalists killed in a single year.  It is time that we finally struck some fear into the hearts of these so called "reporters" who are nothing more than propaganda machines.  These people are directly responsible for inciting riots and lootings and must be held accountable for their false reporting.

This has intrigued me for a long time.  It almost never fails that we see a peaceful march about some issue, the claims seem marginally reasonable, and one or two days pass after which the people in the march report bus loads of out of towners arriving and starting the violence and destruction and kicking up demands to demented proportions.  No one ever reports where these clowns come from or why the march organizers think they are necessary.  The organizers never denounce them or comment.  They must know more. 

Somebody, when I posted this, mentioned Soros, but that's absurd.  That violence turns the public completely away from the issue that the initial march was about.  Why would anyone want to DO that? 

Evidently it is a source that does NOT want issues resolved and some peace to ensue.  This is a source that wants to continue conflict in our country. 

I almost think both sides of major issues may be being manipulated to some extent.
