I think monkeys have more than enough sense not to go in your butt in the first place.   I bet all simians try to stay at least 100 feet away from you.

That was HI-larious.

It's a live feed so it's still going on. They seem to play a bunch of stuff like that.

The cultural shift has begun.

From Mark Wahlberg of all people.

During a luncheon to promote his new film Patriot’s Day, the actor was asked if he talked about politics. “No,” said the former rapper and that other celebrities shouldn’t either, reported the website Task and Purpose on Tuesday.

“A lot of celebrities did, do, and shouldn’t,” Wahlberg said to Task and Purpose, a website dedicated to veterans.

“You know, it just goes to show you that people aren’t listening to that anyway,” Wahlberg continued. “They might buy your CD or watch your movie, but you don’t put food on their table. You don’t pay their bills. A lot of Hollywood is living in a bubble. They’re pretty out of touch with the common person, the everyday guy out there providing for their family. Me, I’m very aware of the real world. I come from the real world, and I exist in the real world. And although I can navigate Hollywood and I love the business and the opportunities it’s afforded me, I also understand what it’s like not to have all that.”

The word 'leftist' isn't one that I use, and I don't think many people with any sense use it either.

You and I obviously hold very different social/political views. The term 'Leftist' has only become relevant to me during this election. For me, it's a very RELATIVE term. I see it as a directional signal and you seem to see it, for some reason, as a pejorative term.

I used to think in political terms of just democrats and republicans but discovered that they were not definitive enough to truly understand someone else's political POV. I have repeatedly found common ground with family, friends, and acquaintances and realized that the only difference was whether we checked a 'D' or an 'R' on our voter registrations.

It's just how I see things relative to my perspective. To state that my use of the term 'leftist' is always a pejorative is an unfortunate, sophomoric oversimplification.

Quote from: SredniVashtar on November 30, 2016, 08:10:13 AM
You just use it to refer to anybody you don't like, the sort of lazy pejoratives that are all too common over there these days. It was only used, as far as I know, to describe revolutionary movements (eg, the Spanish civil war) not some kids on a university campus protesting Halloween costumes. Every time you use the word 'leftist' in any other way you leak IQ points.

If you insist that I use 'leftist' as a pejorative attack on someone I don't even know, then intellectual honesty (low IQ or not) would demand that you append my offensive term to the following list. Those playing at home, please feel free to sort this list according to level of perceived offense and repost.

Praise MV!

When your parents decide to take that dangerous step and let you out of the house unsupervised perhaps you'll learn that life isn't always how it's portrayed on right-wing scandal sites for the feeble-minded.

And your mother's still a whore. She proved it last night. Swallowing was the least of it, and she's also very reasonably priced.

In closing, here are some wise words to live by:

Just because someone holds a different opinion to you doesn't make them stupid. It's obvious how insecure you are. If you can't argue like an adult then I don't know why you bother.

PS- I'm only guessing at this because apparently I'm not that smart, but I think this covers your irony reference from a post or two back.  ;)

My information said they were going after specific machines that were the most likely to be tampered with.
Frankly, there is no reason to worry if the votes were counted properly.
Why do you think 'they' allowed/purchased machines that were easily rigged?  For this very purpose.  I would imagine that someone would call for recounts in every election now.  And why not?

All I'm saying is the reason they want a recount is to sow confusion and try to further delegitimize Trump.  For Soros and the Ds it's not about accuracy, fairness, concern about the machines, or any of that.  It never is with them.  Why else would they encourage illegal voting and motor-voter laws, while suing over states that want to enact requirements to show ID and to update their voter rolls?

I am very concerned with these electronic computerized voting machines as well.  I think we should get rid of them, unless they can make them fraud proof - whether by hacking, pre-loading votes, recording a vote for the wrong candidate, etc.  Why were they made this way so any of this is possible in the first place?

I'm not sure checking them now will do anything other than give us a false sense of security, so in the next election any comments about the possibility of tampering would be played down.  If we're not going to get rid of them, we should probably routinely audit them after all elections.

One thing should be crystal clear though, the D's aren't in this for community service.

Trump said the election was rigged; several times.  :)

And he was correct.  You do realize people can cheat and still lose right?  Because it doesn't seem like you get that.

How is testing the machines now going to catch people who shouldn't have voted, or who voted multiple times?  The Ds are the Party who don't play fair and who steal elections when they can.  Hilary really didn't have much on a positive record or message to run on, which is part of the reason she and her accomplices were all over the place talking about how reprehensible it would be for Trump to not just take his loss and move on.  It would be un-American to challenge election results, it's an attack on our Republic, and all that.

I think it's good to continue throwing that back in their faces now, as it shows what liars they are, and maybe people will start remembering all the things they've lied about, only to turn around and say the opposite as soon as it benefits them.

The other part of the reason Hilary and her accomplices were all over the place talking about how reprehensible it would be for Trump to not just take his loss and move on was because they were going to steal it themselves if they had the chance.

This is the party that has been smearing everyone else as 'racist' for 50 some years now.  This is the party of Occupy, of police murders, the party that stirs race hate.  This is the party who plays to identity politics, and wants ever more immigration, legal and illegal - but not from Europe - in order to build their party.  They go to court to fight FOR motor-voter laws, against ID laws, etc, etc.  Point being, THEY WILL DO ANYTHIMG FOR POWER.

Including stealing elections.  They stole the Washington State governorship in 2004.  King County (Seattle) kept 'finding' more ballots until they had enough votes for Christine Gregoire to win.  Problem was, more people 'voted' in King Country in that election than were registered.  No matter.  They stole the Minnesota Senate race for Al Franken in 2009.  Loretta Sanchez stole B-1 Bob Dornan's House seat in the 1998 race - with illegal Mexican voters pushing her over the top.  Al Gore tried to steal the election in 2000, JFK probably did so in 1960.

Trump won in spite of illegal voters voting for Hilary, and probably in spite of other shenanigans with the machines here and there, people voting multiple times, and all the rest.

That dude is bretty smart. His comes off as a little austie to me. When he's speaking, I think he kind of only half completes a thought before jumping to his next thought. I get why he comes across as muddled in print now. But his comprehension of the state this country is in is brilliant.

LBJ infamously did so to get his Senate seat. Even his most important biographer says so.

ps: I miss B-1 Bob and was disappointed he didn't get more national Republican Party support to show voter fraud. He was second to Traficant, was my favorite in Congress and made C-Span fun to watch- even when they were speaking to an empty room. I also miss Larry McDonald, RIP.

Trump would be in the ghetto too if it hadn't been for his father. He isn't exactly blessed with intelligence. Other than by his own estimation, he has a good brain, its why he talks to himself...That's usually a sign of neurosis/dementia/schizophrenia.

Well, shit.  Now I have to add that to my V.A. docs.  That's at least another 200 bux that I will have to find a way to spend.

Jill Stein said something to the effect that Hillary and Trump are equally evil.  What does he think he's accomplishing by turning his business functions over to his kids?  They can still easily broker deals that he can get through his position.  What's with hiring all those Goldman Sachs folks?  He's now thinking of trying to revoke Dodd/Frank.  I think that's a good idea, if he reinstitutes a version of Glass-Steagall.
