You are correct, for once! It is much harder to legally come over from Europe and become a citizen and vote than for an illegal to waltz across the open border and even vote. And also so many Obama voters (mainly white voters who got him elected twice) stayed home due to a poor D candidate choice, and his performance, or voted instead for Trump. DNC did an awful job. RNC also did, in terms of keeping status quo alive, but we will see about that. DNC and their Hollywood and their media in shambles trying to figure where/how to go now.

Wonder how that privatizing Medicare thing will turn out? Wonder how W's attempted privatization of Social Security would have worked out when the economy crashed in 2008?

What was the problem with Bill Clinton? You seem to be the only republican left with the same name and logic so I aim my question at you. It seems to me the economy was doing well then the republicans decided to use up his time investigating a blow job.

Bill Clinton was very fortunate entering the White House when he did.  The Soviet Union had just fallen.  China had not risen yet.  Al-Qaeda was a tiny band in the aftermath of the Afghan war.  Silicon Valley was underway with software, hardware, bio-tech, communications, and the economy was booming. 

This was a perfect time to re-organize government - social security, medicare, the budget, the national debt, and Bill was the 'policy wonk' to do it.  Russia wanted to be friends.  He didn't do a thing.  A complete wasted opportunity. 

All the two of them did was bounce from one scandal to another.  Their Secretary of State Madeline Albright was as lousy at the job as Hilary was later. 

Big corrupt Bubba from Arkansas, and his Alinsky-ite wife. 

When they first got into office they tried to pass a national gun-grabbing law, and Hilary tried to go to a national European-style health care scheme.  In 1994, at their first opportunity, the country rebelled and gave the House to the Republicans for the first time in 40 years.  They wanted the Clinton agenda stopped, but they liked Bill personally and gave him another term.  Sound familiar?  They didn't like Hilary.  Not one bit.

Yeah, but how does promising more "entitlements" solve any of that? It doesn't. I'm 40, I don't think I will get the money I put into social security all these years back when I get old, it's stupid to think that I will so I've made other plans. And now, well, my healthcare premium is going up more than $150 in January. Explain what the fuck your people have done wrong after promising so much.

Like Obama stated today, elections have consequences. There wasn't a huge surge of white rural votes. There was large downtick of Democratic voters since the last elections.
