Chuck is quickly, rushing to close the show trial before shabbat. But still using police, the ones much of his Party want to defund, with an honor! Which they, and that Officer, are due, of course. And now Mitch rushing also to end it, maybe to check his investments, Chinese and otherwise? Unanimous Consent! Strange that Chucky says it should go on 10 AM on Saturday? Shabbos goy will take his place in the proceedings?

NPR "news" now using Schiff  -another- to comment on the events.  :)

One of the many indignities suffered by Jews of late is the design of newer crock pots which, unlike old ones taking their own good time to reach the boiling point, heat up rapidly for food-safety reasons, since prolonged rest at below-boiling temperatures encourages the growth of harmful bacteria.  It used to be the case that an observant Jew might load up his sabbath repast before sunset and, since no extra work is involved, allow it to cook gently through the sabbath until dinnertime.  But now modern crock pots boil the meat to rags and reduce vegetables to an insipid puree within hours and the poor Jew is left fishing with a fork to find anything toothsome in the pot at all.  All that to say that, as Trump's goose is already cooked, the eating of it is perfectly kosher, praise be.

The sufferings. never end. But I believe the 'crockpot' has been 'rebranded' as a 'slow cooker,' and other trendy things, with much profits to them! Don't cook that goose with milk products though! Then it is haram, sorry not kosher. But, usually, naturally fatty so no need to do so.

It's a shame that the last 5 Commandments were lost in that mishap. Rumor has it that Commandment Number 15 was "Picking up Colonel Drive-Thru is *always* cool, whenever"

THREE lanes for online pickup??? This country is doomed, jiggling our bellies full of schmaltz and smacking our fat greasy lips all the way down into the pit!

I suppose it would be ok but I would think you would have to get a Gentile friend to pick it up for you, I don't even think you are allowed to tie your shoes and have to lounge around in slippers all day.

Racist. ::)

How do you get "racist" out of that??  It is true I have made opprobrious remarks on occasion about their cookies but, in general, I have enjoyed most of the Jews I have met.

That's too bad.  Though I am pierced with arrows, flayed, and torn limb from limb I will maintain that lard and butter make superior cookies to whatever tasteless vegetable fats Jews are obliged to use until my dying day!  Hier stehe Ich, Ich kann nicht anders.

Yeah.  >:( The Show Trial could've turned interesting or even funny. But, as I say all the time, the "Inside the Beltway" crowd protects their own, regardless of Party, if anyone dares to risk their cocktail parties, abilities for insider trading, and path to lucrative lobby, law, public policy, foundation, or defense contractor outfits. Just a few weeks ago when the Lincoln Project guy was 'accused' it came out that, basically, 'everyone' in DC knew about his proclivities and abuses but, as usual, these things are known and used as political capital, no pun intended.

I don't know how important that congresswoman's (from WA!) statement is, it wasn't really apparent early on, if Trumpie was just watching news coverage, how bad it was, initially looked more like a circus thanks to Horn Boy et al.  The real nasty business didn't come out until later unless you were watching people's livestreams, which I was not.

Of course protecting your own is exactly why Rs won't convict him, Trump is still politically useful.  I hope they have extracted some decent terms from Trump in exchange for protecting him.

They know they’ll just keep losing without him for the reason al mentions in his last post and the fact that we all see that now and therefore hate them as much as we do the Democrats. That’s one thing Alex Jones always had right. DC is full of Republocrats and this is the problem.

It wouldn't totally surprise me if Rs had allowed him to be censured but I doubt a full conviction even though many don't like him- there are still too many supporters in many constituencies. Ultimately both Parties Inside the Beltway don't like him, or anyone who 'rocks the boat,' and this is why they, of both Parties, figure to have the Show Trial and then get back to business (regulatory capture, reelection efforts, graft, war-mongering, expanding budgets, cocktail parties, abusing interns and pageboys, raising taxes for some, and sending out CVs to law firms, lobby firms, etc, for future jobs.)

Haha is AJ still simping for Trump after Trump abandoned him at the Capitol with a bullhorn and an angry mob and didn't speak on the steps like he was supposed to?  He's lucky he is not a co-conspirator, Trump would hang him out to dry.

Oh no they won't convict him but if they haven't extracted a promise he won't run again and instead hold rallies in all their districts they aren't worth a damn as politicians.  Here comes the Trump Traveling Circus!

They mentioning Proud Boys, always a suspect bunch to me, but nobody mentions this.

I hope AJ has been hammering this because no one else seems to have noticed.

This news item is, interestingly, not getting much play in the news or the forums. Like Q, things in the past, 'hate' crimes/groups, commie orgs, radical Muzzies, even some mafia almost always police, intelligence elements- or interested parties- involved, instigating, or even committing. Not simply reporting or LEO reasons. But actual agent provocateurs or allowed to commit crimes to get 'intel.' Or for other reasons, I guess.  I seem to recall both the ADL and the FBI had asset or assets in Elohim City before OKC even, though I forget the details.

So now the show trial is about apartheid in South Africa because some House Rep was a the son of immigrants from "East Africa?"

Considering that most of the deaths were coronaries and suicides it could just as easily be about mental health and heart disease!  How cruel of Trump to rile all those fragile obese red-faced people up like that SAY THEIR NAMES

Trump acquitted. I hope Leahy gets some sleep. He sounds very tired and maybe even Corona-Chaned. It was weird though to watch the Show Trial in which the presiding 'judge' gets also to vote in the 'jury.' And he did a weird deal to mask when voting but then after removed mask to, I think, adjust hearing aids. Now Senators get to pontificate for the records- which they can amend 'for the record' - later.  ;)   I was hoping the Show Trial would've been of a kangaroo court and had witnesses, crazier the better, but still fun times.

That’s because a real supreme court judge refused to participate in this political witch hunt.
