Micheal Obama flew her cut-off wearing, Target shopping, black-skin, stinky white soul and palm having, family into Washington D.C. every weekend for 8 years! When the Obama's traveled they took both 747's and 8 F-15's. Tell me again about cost! Obama's secret service detail was DOUBLE what any previous or present President's is! There is no comparison! The Kenyan was far more expensive!

She's not interested in any of that.  What Democrat have you ever heard of that gives a hoot about government waste? Seriously.

This is all beside the point - which is to bash Trump

Indeed the "optics are wrong", in fact they are glaring. In Trumpworld, lowering his Mar A Lago fees from $200,000 to $100,000 (for the "economy"), then back to $200,000 on Jan.1, 2017 might be considered a hardship for those wannabe members who are short the extra $100,000, but for the out of work coal miner, it must look like a parallel universe. I don't believe the division of wealth has ever been so great between Americans. Right now Donald Trump is widening that divide, both financially and philosophically.

I'm still pissed he allows Clinton to play his NY course for free. As if he can't afford it.

These people ARE consistent.

It's all connected.  Globalism plays a role here as well.  Without Big Government getting bigger, Globalist infrastructure can't be built and expanded.  Trump isn't even a Conservative, but he is an American that believes in the basic American ideals.

“I really prefer Moscow over all cities in the world."

Those damn America-hating, Leftist Globalists fighting Trump's America First agenda! They need to be identified and expelled from the country!

Make it easy on you. Just take pictures of the ones that you bought because it said made in USA.

Why are liberals jealous of people that create wealth yet worship the Obamas Clintons and Sanders who spend their entire adult lives on the public dole.

Funny how many liberals had to have those ties and shoes before he ran for president.

What is more American than slavery? Even Black folks wear Nike's made by Chinese Slave Labor while protesting Robert E. Lee--who is seen as a traitor by all true Confederates because he surrendered instead of holding the line for two more years and waiting for British involvement--and ignoring Barbary Coast Black Islamic White Slavery of Europe that only ended in 1833 after the French invaded Algeria with US support!

Annotation: "All men are created equal..." It didn't say anything about anyone who wasn't Western European! Keep pushing Whitey. He has a history of losing his shit and slaughtering entire populations of others far larger than his own ya know. Keep pushing! One more push!

I can afford to be picky. I am a proud thrift store, yard sale shopper. I recycle, repurpose, reuse. America's mindless consumption leaves me plenty to choose from.

I do thrift stores and estate sales. It's not because I am opposed to mindless consumption though. It's because I like quality made products and they don't make them anymore. Something manufactured in the 30's or 40's or 50's or 60's, even some things from the 70's are of outstanding quality and last a lifetime! Racism makes them strong I think.

Do you give Devos credit for using her own private plane at her own expense?  I do.

No. When you are a billionaire, gestures like that are pretty meaningless and look more like grandstanding - in the same way that Trump made a fuss over that Carrier nonsense. Second, if you have a private plane you'd want to use it for personal convenience - imagine the indignity of using something available to the common people, yuck! Third, I bet that wily sow will claim those expenses on her taxes later on.

As far as any tax revision is concerned it might be better to sit back and wait and see what is actually passed; What it will mean to everyone (across the income divide); What is promised and a few years down the line the reality. My wager is it will increase the gap between rich and poor, and have very little change for the 'middle class'; That in itself is the irony in the classless society that is the REPUBLIC of America.  ;D. France has a republic too.

The way things are going, I don't think anything will pass.  But, it's possible Trump might get corporate tax cuts if he tries to include the Democrats.  At this point, the Republican Congressional leadership and Trump are offering up these tax revisions (pretty much just tax cuts) on a 'take it or leave it basis.'

If they try and make it into tax revisions that would involve eliminating deductions, then a lot of vested interests will express concerns and the Republicans would almost certainly lose more members than they'd need to keep to pass anything, while all the Democrats could easily just oppose saying 'we have nothing to do with any of this.'

In terms of straight out tax cuts, they have to limit to keep in line with the budget reconciliation based on prior agreed maximum deficit/debt limits.  The Republicans state this is $1.5 trillion of tax cuts over ten years:

Under reconciliation rules, a bill cannot increase the long-term deficit beyond a predetermined level. The official assessment of the bill's budget effects will use static scoring, which does not account for growth estimates, according to Ed Lorenzen, senior advisor for the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a nonpartisan group that analyzes fiscal policy.

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/09/28/heres-why-the-gop-tax-reform-might-only-be-temporary.html

The plan as outlined without any cuts to deductions or other tax changes or spending cuts would increase the debt by as much as $5 trillion over ten years.  So, this plan released is pretty much an a-la-carte of the latest Republican dream of lowering taxes mostly for the benefit of the wealthy.

If the Republicans decide to limit it to just corporate income tax cuts, they could probably get it passed.  One suggestion was a revenue neutral cut to corporate income taxes with a plan to phase in carbon/pollution taxes.

Maybe the mayor is in over her head and panicking.  I'll stick to what the governor said.  It takes time to get supplies to an island.  We don't have transporters yet.

I don't have any opinion on this overall.  I can completely understand everybody being overwhelmed by the situation.  There were sensationalist media headlines of "Trump defends himself over handling of Puerto Rico" but the actual clip was of Trump outlining what the federal response to this has been so far and what they are planning to do.  Is that 'defending himself?"  In terms of criticism, I think it's certainly fair to point out that Trump was extremely slow to wave the Jones Act, which might have slowed down the help.

The only 'politics' I'm interested in playing on this, is that I hope Coast to Coast never has that liar and extremely nasty person Tim (Sleaze) Ball on again.  Not only does Sleaze Ball's lie of 'hurricanes have been hyped up by the global warming alarmists' come out as a completely idiotic statement, but before the full impact of the hurricane on Puerto Rico was known, he even praised hurricanes on Coast to Coast for 'destroying the old and bringing in new.'

I had a friend who is something of a global warming denier who used to quote Sleaze Ball and even he said on that part of Sleaze Ball's comments something like "there may be something to that in some abstract way, but this guy doesn't care in the slightest about human lives, does he?"

Two part question:

1. Do you ever tire of shaming others?
2. Do you yourself ever feel shame for being that way?

I'll take my answers off the air, thanks.  :)

How do you feel about those two things, Doc.

Asking for a friend.  :)

I am one of the few people on this forum that keeps beating the drum for a 30% reduction across the board and smaller federal government.

Trump's sons get SS protection because a threat analysis was performed and the SS perceived a threat to his entire family. That is peanuts compared to the $750million PER DAY that Obama added to the national debt.

Be consistent is all I ask.

If we're supposed to be consistent, don't you mean the $750 million PER DAY that the Republican Congress (the House which controls the budget) added to the national debt for six years?

I am pretty sure his businesses are doing less business, not more. He used to be the darling of the left. Not any longer. When he goes to Mar Lago, it is basically shut off from other club members.

It is true he raised the rates at Mar Lago. Raised them to what they used to be before he had to drop them due to the economy down there.

I wish he wouldn't travel so much. I understood the first few weeks because of the transition getting Obama and his staff out and renovating after 8 years.

It is still a drop in the bucket, but to me the optics are wrong.

You never hear the press comment on the fact that he is donating his $400k salary.

1.You have no evidence either way on Trump's business income levels, as is evident by your comment.  Irrespective, it is pretty clear that a President maintaining defacto ownership of a business while as President is a conflict of interest and, with what his businesses are doing, is a violation of the Emoluments Clause.  This is why no preceding President has ever maintained active ownership of their business operations before.  Despite what some lie, Jimmy Carter placed his peanut farm and related operations into a blind trust.

Trump is currently being sued in civil court for violating the Emoluments Clause by businesses who claim to be harmed.  So, we'll see where that ends up.

2.Whether or not Trump's businesses have actually lost business or not is irrelevant.  Making a judgement on a decision a person made at some time based on what actually transpired and not based on what was known/expected at that time is a logical fallacy known as the 'historian's fallacy.'

3.What is your evidence that Trump is actually donating his money to charity?  Trump has made all sorts of promises like that before and not kept them.  Only a fool or an FSB disinformation officer would take Trump at his word on that.

Well that's swell.  I guess this disproves your argument the media hasn't reported that Trump is donating his salary.  Let's see if he keeps it up.

And you again prove that all you have to offer is girlish snark as is true with all you hyper-feminized liberals.  Do you get to wear your vulva outfit often?  Can it be dry-cleaned or do you have to send it to the cleaners?  Asking for Pud.

Almost on cue, Trump responds to the plea from the PR mayor by saying "They want everything done for them". This from a spoiled brat who has the reading and speaking skills of a ten year old, who thinks physical excercse is anathema. Whose only skills are self congratulation and playing golf. Next time, tune in to hear him berate ship and aircraft crews for putting out mayday calls. They want everything doing for them. Selfish bastards. Dosen't the mayor of PR know the drill yet? She should have said how fantastic and tremendously he is, and how the ocean is huge and big and wet and stuff. Silly woman. How dare she criticise him.

I have no idea why you guys argue with Pud. His entire nation, culture, and history are doomed. Haji is balls deep in his daughter, erasing his very DNA right now to finish the job. The Brits are just jealous we still have something to save while they are dead already.

In other words, you have none? If you truly can afford to be picky then all of uour labels say "Made in USA" right?  I try to buy made in USA when I can, but it seems like it is not always an option.

Even with "american brand" cars and trucks.
