Micheal. You know the time you got chatted up by that (admittedly convincing) transvestite in the bar and took your virginity? You remember how you were scared at first but learned to love it? That time is now for you. Again.
Wasn't the tranny on Bellgab 4-5 years ago?

Numerous organizations had previously reported that the laptop battery ban was based on intel discovered in the Yemen raid.

Some media is saying that they were told to hold of some information at the time laptop ban for security reasons

Is the above a defence for Trump?

Just asking.
No, my other post was. This was an indictment of the Obama administration. I fully support Trump, if he legally can or delegates his administration to do so, share information with Russia, or anybody, if it helps defeat radical Islam or protects our country. As I've mentioned at length, I would much rather have some kind of cagey, but nominally friendly, relationship with Russia rather than a nuclear war or even proxy wars. I would rather some real fair trade and business than wars. Why the left and the media keep promoting this new Cold War and advocating hot ones is weird. Just a few decades ago the Russians, especially under Gorby and then the drunk, but to many leftists and Democrats even under the more hardcore leaders, the USSR were the good guys and evil capitalists, Reagan, etc were the bad guy. Now it is all "evil Russians" all the time. It is hilarious.

Trump invites Russians into the Oval office, closed to press other than Russian state press, who posted the only photos and account until the WH caught up and posted their own official photo with Trump shaking hands with the ambassador who is named in the invstigation into Trump's former and current poodles being cosy with. Now its said Trump told the Russians classified information. Still nothing to worry about?

Im sorry but I can't take you seriously. You're not being serious are you?  Trump tells the Russians information that mght be pertaining to Syria who Russia loves the leader of, possibly traceable to source and endangering the informant and you thnk its okay? Tell me you don't think that? Trump is fucking insane. The information is so sensitive it isnt shared with US allies, let alone Russia. Putin isn't Gorby or Yeltsin. Russian government now isn't then.

You know don't you that allied troops work in the ME and some in deep cover? Trump will get soldiers killed with his fucking ego. And he doesn't even care until he can milk the grief of a widow to make him look good. He's mentally ill.

I don't mind that we didn't get an official photo post first like some juvenile who wants a "first" on some website comment. I worry about actually issues, not social media or whatever Amazon's Washington Post has to say on some subject. Trade and better relations is better than wars, especially nuclear ones. I hope sanctions are lifted and the XOM, and other deals, get done. Be good for shareholders, consumers, and the economy in all countries involved, including European ones. I don't mind Russians bombing Muslims, whether in Chechnya or if ISIS. Don't trust, or particularly like, Russians but it is not like we haven't had relations with and done business with shady, or outright corrupt, nations before. Maybe our business can help reform it? Maybe not, but better than wars. As long as they aren't invading us or our NATO allies I don't really care about their domestic policies, like the innocuous laws that made Obama so mad with regard to homosexuality. The investigations should continue on all aspects (Russian hacking, all the Clinton issues, Trump people and any Russian deals, government leakers, Huma/Weiner security issues and child porn, etc, and they are continuing according to various agencies, and if there is criminality involved, bring up charges, and prosecute in the proper place (depending on the crime etc.)

Apparently a present staffer immediately told the CIA and the NSA. The WP are deliberately being vague about the precise details as the info that the giddy Trump told the Russians is hyper sensitive. Trump will blame the leaker to the press (An annoyed spook being told he works in a nazi organisation?) certainly not the fact he should have kept his fat fucking mouth shut.

Yes, under Obama the OPM, and other agencies were hacked. Much personal information of government and military employees, even including fingerprints were hacked. Some nerd on the dark web, much less experts in foreign government intelligence agencies have access to this information. As they do, thanks to Obama's administration expertise on security, access to the NSA "tools"- some of which is even causing your beloved NHS problems. Giving/allowing NK, and now Iran, nuclear capabilities under Clinton and Obama policies are even more dangerous than the hacks allowed under the Obama administration or Trump tweets. I would rather do business with Russia, even one that is corrupt or shady, than have wars, but to each his own. We should of course investigate them, rat out spies, penetrate their government, etc as we do even with our allies, as was shown by leaks under the Obama administration that the US was spying on the EU, France elections, Merkel, etc.

Oh I'm sure you'd have said nothing if it were Obama doing the same.

Meanwhile, friendly informants will flatly refuse to help allied SF soldiers because they now know that whatever they say will go to Trump then to whoever he wants to brag to. Over chocolate cake perhaps? More worrying is allied intelligence agencies will be very careful what they say to US intelligence agencies because there's no gaurantee Trump won't tell non allies.

If allied intelligence agencies aren't "very careful" with what they share than I'm not sure I would trust the source. We still remember Philby etc.  Of course one has to be "very careful," even with allies. Silly to think people wouldn't. You have to suspect and be "very careful," to use a technical trade-craft phrase, even internally inside an agency or between agencies.

Unfortunately the former administration, including DOS head, wasn't "very careful," again using a technical trade-craft term, with their security and so hackers, criminals, terrorists, and foreign governments already have details of many thousands of US employees, even Special Ops members, including finger-prints in some cases. Very useful for blackmail, targeting, or fraud. I get letters about "watch out for identity theft" due the leak(s) under Obama simply because I was related to someone who worked in the government decades ago and so my information was on his form (when they do the background checks.)

As I've mention ad nauseum, Trump isn't my ideal candidate (far too liberal on immigration, liberal and questionable friends, too supportive of Executive- and Federal- power, and too much "Hollywood" shallowness and show-off) but the choice, unfortunately, was Hillary or him. And he was better on (at least during campaign) on immigration and wars. Clinton wanted to escalate wars and throw open the border, so no choice. I don't care if Assad stays. He was a lot nicer to religious minorities than some of our "allies" in the Gulf etc. Not a good guy but better than his dad and people are safer under him than under Obama/McCain's rebels/ISIS. Some stability in the region under a dictator is better than the instability causing the invasion into Europe. I know there is deep hostility between UK and Russia from back in the colonial days and various campaigns but even you allied yourself with "Uncle Joe," who was far worse than Putin, because sometimes you pick lesser of evils, at least temporarily. I don't see why war with Russia is a better option than a rapprochement or even some business deals?

1. The Post would not have reported anything negative about Obama, so chances are you would never know.
2. I don't believe the Post. For now, I choose to believe McMaster. Even the Post included his statement saying nothing was disclosed. There are people that want to see Trump fail. It is not a stretch to think that the Post would craft a story portraying any situation in the worst possible light.
3.There are plenty of stories that were published stating the laptop battery ban was the result of the Yemen raid long before this meeting with the Russians. What would that have to do with Syria?

If the Russians snicker at Trump's idiocy, they must really be cracking up at Americans like albrecht who defend him.

At virtually the same time Trump was bragging on himself to visiting Russians about having "people brief me on really good intel every day", Putin was meeting with Xi to form a global economic alliance.

Behind China’s $1 Trillion Plan to Shake Up the Economic Order

Mr. Xi is aiming to use China’s wealth and industrial know-how to create a new kind of globalization that will dispense with the rules of the aging Western-dominated institutions. The goal is to refashion the global economic order, drawing countries and companies more tightly into China’s orbit.

I know, instead of the Obama policy (and Bush) of forcing/allowing China to rise and bond with Russia (and India) we should've tried to reinforce the Sino-Russian split (both when both were nominally communist but even afterwards) and stir things up between the Sino-Indian border. We (in the US and the West should also be focusing on the next generation of things- and not trying to "bring mfg back" (a Trumpism but not logical in the traditional sense- and do we seriously WANT to be a nation of coal miners or routine, repetitive garmet manufactures?) And use technological disruption to hurt China. Who with their size and diverse population has, until our open borders, a much bigger potential problem with displacement of jobs by tech. Also worrying is the "outsourcing" for decades, really ramped up under Clinton, of our tech to China and relying on them for critical infrastructure, electronics, and (along with India) our medicines. Some real potential threats there.

I like the posters here claiming that I was/is a Trump supporter. Classic "fake news." Heck at the beginning, if you recall, I thought he was a stalking horse for Hillary and considering his liberal views, Hollywood contacts, and questionable friends; that he was just a way to disrupt the Republican contest. I say I like most of what he says, policy-wise- not in manner, and most of what he has done (most appointments and executive actions thus far) but still far too liberal on things like immigration and seems to be going the way of the "more war is good" traditional Inside The Beltway thinking. Also his stance, or apparent stance, on private prison and asset forfeiture is bad. As is his views on the power of the Executive branch and Federal govt. But, again, that is nothing new, the Presidency, and the Feds have been expanding their power for many decades- no matter what the party.  But considering who is against him, he still is far the better choice than the other one!

It will be more than one chapter. Maybe covering his meeting with the crown prince of Abu Dhabi today. Who just happened to broker the meeting with the education secs brother (ex blackwater boss) and a Russian envoy in the Seychelles last year. He also made an unannounced trip to the US last december to have a chat with Kushner and Flynn.

But today, its reported Trump tells the Russians stuff he shouldn't have. If any allied agents are killed because of it, he has blood on his hands. And still he'd blame others and his fans will see him blameless.

So, do you think that is a good thing or a bad thing that Russia and China are seeking a partnership l?

Should we be seeking the same kind of partnership?

Sounds a lot like a bilateral trade agreement. I am pretty sure Trump supports those.

This "Silk Road" development was announced 4 years ago by Xi and Obama did everything he could to keep the US and its allies from signing on to this endeavor.

I don't really have an opinion yet, though they will need so much steel it will probably boost our steel and coal industries. If it opens markets for all, it could be a good thing.

I can see Trump as the greedy businessman salivating at the thought of being in on profits from a multi-trillion dollar global investment deal with China. But that's obviously at odds with the nationalistic, "America First", anti-globalist agenda he sold to his MAGA voters.

One thing I don't like about Trump, and the age in general, is twitter and and social media- with limited content and viral ability. And how the "news" is, for the most part when not doing "human interest stories" or reading govt/copr press reports/ads, is "news" agencies reporting on what other "news" agencies report; using them as cover when the "news" turns out to be fake or to be "first," or get "hits, if it turns out to be true and even using 2nd or 3rd hand sources who claim to have anonymous sources. So Amazon's Wash Post runs an article and then other agencies pick it up. The other day I turned on my local NPR and the BBC was reporting using MSNBC content. So my government-funded (partially) "news" agency was broadcasting a foreign government funded "news" agency referencing the "news" from a corporately funded "news" agency!

Being involved with trade agreements and having generally favorable relations with other nations is not diametrically opposed to "America First". Try thinking it out. It might hurt at first, but I believe in you.
