He has found new toys to play with. Remember Bush, Jr prancing around declaring "I'm uh War President". We ain't seen nuthin' yet

To quote Clarice Starling:

"He'll never stop. He's got a real taste for it now. He's getting better at his work."  :)

I don't remember your didsdain and outrage when Obama/Community-Organizer-in-Chief sent troops to these countries and more.

I remember some sage advice about avoiding foreign entaglements. Trouble is that weare indeed entagled. If he is shoribg ip existing forces to safeguard the troops already there and to actually win something, we have to wait and see.

You know as well as I do that we've reached a point beyond individual "distain and outrage". The consensus expert opinion--regardless of partisan politics, is we've never been closer to a real threat of nuclear war.

2017: Rise of nationalism, United States President Donald Trump's comments over nuclear weapons, the threat of a renewed arms race between the U.S. and Russia. ..This is the first use of a fraction in the time, and the Clock's closest approach to midnight since 1953.

Hitler had some supergun (same squadron that took out dam, the "Dam Busters," targeted them.) Also Saddam was building a super-gun. Canadian guy involved (forget his name right now.) He was "mysteriously murdered" at his place in Brussels (if memory serves.) Suspect Mossad, MI6, or us.

Yeah, that could be it.  The Germans had a railroad gun in WWI that was called the "Paris Gun." It fired a few rounds into Paris but proved to be so manpower intensive and unwieldy that it was a non factor and fell to disuse.  Hitler was trying to field something similar but I don't think it ever was used.

Nope, I specifically remember it being used in Iraq.  Maybe it is the Mandela effect.

If you are that sure, why don't you submit a FOIA request?

Good to see my people are still fighting the good fight. Me? I'm stocking Grandma's bomb shelter this weekend. How many people here think Trump would be willing to start a nuclear war to distract from his domestic and judicial problems?

Poll: Most Republicans want Trump to release his tax returns his Tactical Nuclear Weapons

Corrected that 4 U.  ;D

Heard rumors that Ed Dames will be on c2c Monday night to talk about how new developments with the NKorean nuclear weapons program & ET technologies will result in the destruction of the US. The Killshot and the Norwegian Doomsday Vault are involved in there as well of course.

Ugh...Doctor Doom, right? I couldn't listen to him or others cashing in on the end of the world. "The end is near, send cash, check, or money order to ___."

Please, spare us the histrionics.  What exactly would you do to deter NK?  Maybe we can give them more nuclear technology.  Come up with a plan or STFU.

No plan, just somewhat startled by Trump's apparent turn-around with sudden, overt aggression on several quarters, over 'the art of the deal'.

Gerald Bull was the guy I was thinking of with regard to modern "superguns." Interesting tale of intrique. Would make good movie or book.

MOAB is not a fuel air bomb. It uses TNT laced with aluminum powder if I remember correctly.

The costs of MOAB have never been released. There have been reports of how much it cost, but that is fake news. This bomb was developed and produced in house by civil servants, Air Force personnel and a few support contractors. They used a lot of components from other bombs with minor mods to the guidance system. If memory serves me correctly the case is made out of surplus artillery barrels.

As bombs go, this one probably offer the most bang for the buck.

I feel for the crew of the Hercules (C130) that dropped the thing out off the ramp. 21000 pounds moving aft in short measure must be great fun (!) on the stick. I wonder if there's a countdown when the stick is pushed forward to compensate, but not too far as to dive and stop the ordnance rolling back?

That keeps me awake at night. Damn you all.

Quick, tell me 3 things that Ed Dames predicted that came to pass. Ed Dames spent 20 years in the Army and retired as a Major.  In other words he failed selection for LTCOL and was sent home.  He is a total fraud as has been shown time and time again.  Your mentioning his name speaks volumes about you.

There were two massive railguns built: Gustav and Dora. Gustav owned the engineering company (Krupps) that built it, Dora was his wife. Dora never fired in anger apparently, KG did, against the Russians. It fired a shell about 23 miles. Apparently it fired one that went through 50 metres (170 feet) of sea before penetrating the seabed to blow up an undersea ammunition dump.

Trump is a pragmatist and not an ideology-bound, limp-wristed twit.  I want a President who thinks on his feet and adapts.  Obama never progressed beyond being a street level community organizer and ran his government like one.

Good point. I should probably stop mentioning him.  And Richard Hoagland.

And look at the stats in almost any category see what years of Obama organizing and single-party leadership has done in that Chicago area. In any area did it improve, aside from maybe trauma surgeons getting better due to constant practice?

That would be a massive and sudden change in weight and moment.  I'm betting that they put the plane in a climb and let it slide out the the rear like they do when they airdrop heavy equipment like artillery pieces.

I am sorry you wanted jobs and tax cuts instead of another ground war 6,000 miles away, but maybe sort of pay attention next time.

Oh yeah! Hillary would've been WAY better! I'd say take the dicks out of your ears but you probaby still couldn't hear me with those big ones still in your mouth and ass. Good boy! I'm sure your masters are happy.  ::)

I understand what you're saying. I'm just saying this kind of sudden overt military aggression might be more likely to cause a new war than to deter one.

You do recall that Obama was criticized even by the MSM for not having a "policy."  Hilliary even said that his policy of "not doing anything stupid" was not a policy.  Have you ever considered an issue without looking at it from the perspective of your race and gender?  Have you ever thought in terms of what is best for the Country as a whole?  No, I didn't think so.

Again, what's your plan?  What you look at as aggression I see as self defense.

Don Benton (salesman) has been made director of the Selective Service System. The draft if needed. He's worth looking into. Especially the complete lack of military service. Oh, and his abject failure at most other things.

Trump scares me much less than hand wringing liberals with feint hearts and a tendency to bend over and spread-em.  (Dam, I promised myself that I would not be provoked into using vulgarity.  Oh well, it's always a race to the bottom on this thread.)

I have a plan for my own self defense. Not so much for the country's. Seems too complicated. I guess I would tend to not react much unless I were directly attacked. Far too simple for world military politics and such, I know.

I guess there's some perverse logic in getting a nuclear war over sooner rather than later.
