I was happy he did that actually. It was in response to Putin saber rattling earlier that day. Putin's response today was to criticize the Democrats and characterize the US as the most powerful military on earth but not seriously considered a potential aggressor by Russia. The CIA and now the FBI are saying the Russians have hacked into American servers, and you think that's just a narrative by stupid fuckers? What do the FSB say on that?

Yes, it's a media narrative and a red scare. There is no smoking gun. If you look at the NYT article where this originated it boils down to unnamed sources within the FBI and CIA. That vagueness continues until now, with even Obama parroting it but not actually giving any evidence. What we do know is that someone tried to hack the DNC and certain cyber attacks that occurred during the year almost certainly were perpetrated by a nation state. Which one is unknown, but the way they were done actually points to China just as much as Russia. And if it was China, then it points in the opposite direction at Hillary. That tidbit never made it into the narrative, of course, so no one talks about it.

Conflating it either way and saying that Russia hacked the election for Trump or China hacked the election for Clinton is an act of silliness. What really happened is that the Democratic party wants to fuck up the transition of power as much as they can. They did that with the obviously frivolous Stein/Clinton joke recount that amounted to nothing except more votes for Trump and evidence of Democratic district ballot box stuffing. They did it with fake Soros-funded "protests". They did it by harassing electors. Even though the DNC knew it had a hacking problem almost a year ago, they only talk about it now and use it to cast aspersions. It's all bullshit. Don't fall for it.
