It is not us who matter.  The undecided are the ones that matter.  I would also add that Hillary's base isn't that thrilled with her either and are more likely to sit things out if this gets any worse.  Trump has a base that, whatever you might think of him and them, is highly charged and enthusiastic about his prospects.
