They are murdered at an alarming rate. They commit suicide at an alarming rate. Many suffer depression- they are a very visible group who cannot "hide" in society and are subject to discrimination and open hatred.

BUT... Narrowing down "all lives matter" to "Black lives matter" and then narrowing it further until only "my life matters" is laughable to me.
A few years ago trannies were attacking lesbians at a "slut march" in London. Apparently some feminists are against the trannies usurping women's rights and lesbians against both sides in a race to 'who has the most victimhood' (and so deserves the most honor and promotion.) This was also when feminists, in some bizarre thinking, wanted to 'reclaim' the word 'slut.'

Of course none of those statements is meant to be exclusive.  They are designed to elicit cavils that warrant clobbering objectors over the head with your skateboard and running away really fast.  But in general I agree, sloganeering is for the stupid.

Indentured servants had it easier?  My ancestors were the largest single importation of indentured servants into what is now the US.  About 1500 arrived in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.  Seven years later, 500 - which included children born here - were left to escape by walking about 80-miles to St. Augustine.  A death rate of more than 2/3 is easy?

Plutarch has told me that when the pencil-necked anarcho-communists kids leave their parent's basement to go to battle that thier mothers hand them their skateboard and say:
"Η ΤΑΝ Η ΕΠΙ ΤΑΣ."

I hope they at least got free tickets as reparations for the slave trade and the indignity of purposely delayed flight no doubt due to the systemic racism of an evil, capitalist nation.

Haha quite a few of the Portlanders carry homemade shields that might serve.  Reports are if you are arrested with one, it brings a higher charge.  Same with body armor.  Comparisons with Viking-age shield-wall tactics are rife.

People today have no clue what it took just to live 200-250 years ago.  I bet there aren’t 1 million people in the US that could/would/know enough basic survival skills to survive if a solar flare caused a strike like the 1859 Carrington event.

I visited St Augustine in May, 2018.  Went to the Castillo de San Marco. They started building it in 1672.  Without power tools.  It’s still standing.  Amazing.  I enjoyed the time I spent there.

Don’t get me started on reparations.  Somewhere between 80 and 90% of the deaths and wounded in our military were white.  Since World War II it has been around 80%.  These men gave their life and limbs for the liberties that every single person breathing air in the US currently enjoy.  They didn’t die just so white people could be free.  If we are going to have reparations, let’s start with the family trees of those killed and wounded in the Civil War.

I really hope we have a asteroid strike or an EMP event soon. Time to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Now you are talking baby!  My ancestors were a simple, noble, kind, gentle people.  Happily living on the shores of the Vistula Lagoon when one dark day a bunch of asshole Teutonic Knights came out of nowhere - A whooping and a hollering, a raping and a pillaging and just about genocided us into extinction.  Then some asshole Junkers serf'ed our ass for centuries.  Finally kind of recovered from that when there was a damn potato famine and thankfully were blessed to come here.  Only to have one of us get blasted into oblivion by Johnny Reb in some shit hole called Chickamauga.    Way I figure it, I get three big checks: One from the Catholic Church, and one from the Government of Germany and one from Uncle Sam.

Do you know what materials they use?  I'd think 3/4" plywood would do but doesn't that promote logging and the destruction of habitat? Or are such things not considered?

This Ngo guy is a hoot K_Dubb.  Thanks for pointing him out!

Cops don't really use the batons for anything other than shoving people back, held in horizontally in front, because it looks so brutal on camera when they whack away at some guy.  The shields are primarily a defense against hand-held pepper spray at close range, and against low-velocity pepper-filled balls which are supposed to be fired at the ground in front of you but are not infrequently aimed at your head hoping for an oopsie.  Large Rubbermaid garbage-can lids are often appropriated but carved styrofoam or other lightweight packing material is also seen, wrapped in duct tape.  There are some neat parallels to ancient leather-wrapped wicker shields that strive for a balance between agility and modest protection.

Haha he is right up there by the door hoping for the five-second "police mace innocent vacuumer" clip that can be sent around the world, like Trumpet Man on his bucket.  In Seattle some girl would always creep across the enforced boundary sitting down to read a book, for the same reason.

No points for recycling packing materials?  Anyway we are anarchists and don't give a fuck.

Have y'all ever considered using the substances and methods that General Butt Naked used during the Liberian conflicts? Some Gallic and Celtic tribes also fought nude but generally this is an odd phenomena. But General Butt Naked had a legion of stoned, naked troops that wreaked mayhem (he has since retired and become a preacher.) But he formally believed that human sacrifice and the right combination of drugs would make a person bullet proof, so you fight naked (they did hold, for some reason maybe fashion, of wearing of women's wigs and such.) For some reason the Africans always take it to the "next level" in wars and revolutions.

Butt Naked is most definitely out.  What the hell is the matter with you?  Uncle Charley swinging free and proud like that! That is hurtful and completely unacceptable.

Do better...........

Well that is sort of Trumpet Man's aesthetic, though he has resisted going full berserker  :(  I could see some intimidation value in hand-to-hand fighting if you were quick enough but that is extremely rare.  The only real attacks are launched (literally) from the back of the crowd, forcing the police to engage the nonviolent ranks in front.  Public victimization is the real weapon.

A number of notables have taken pepper balls to the dingdong and now wear cups.

Quite wise. Rioting is a contact sport.  There was a 3rd baseman in Little League that got caught short once. One hopper got him.  Cost him a nut or so the story went.   :'(

Makes sense. And for the fashionista radicals they could make some type of elaborate codpiece 'art' getting the protection needed but also expressing their outrage or art. I imagine there are also some opportunistic volunteers from the 'community' who check the warriors for hernias before and after the conflicts. Never let a good crisis go to waste, as they say.

Kid down the street was supposedly a one-baller after a fence climbing incident. Went on to have 3 kids. I heard some guy on radio once railing against evolution using this evidence of redundancy. Two hands, two eyes, two ears, two balls, two ovaries, and so on.

Ha. Fuehrer nickname is a good one. Though would be 'problematic' in these times. As would making fun of anyone, for anything. One thing I admire about our Mexicans is that they still love nicknames. Even their cartel leaders get funny- but usually appropriate- nicknames. Take a trait and make a nickname after it.
