Pretty sure they are talking about your homemade jobs and scarves, not medical ones.  The Swedes are right AFAIK; I haven't seen any actual studies proving it, though they were quick to credit it with Slovenia's success above.

I think the advice to wear improvised masks is based more on common sense.  Not that the virus can't get through but that you're not shooting it out like a spray bottle.  I can't blow out a candle with my coofiyeh on, for example, though it is the next thing to sheer.

Eh, as usual, there's more to the story, when you look at it, with more cases in the panhandle, more testing being done, the meat packing angle...Amarillo's not exactly a roaring metropolis and right now is probably a nice home for CC to settle in.

By finding and statute figuring, and paying, Federal personal Income Tax is 'voluntary.'  Their definition though of the term 'voluntary.' One will also IMPORTANTLY note even if one uses a lawyer or accountant (or the popular softwares or franchised preparers) YOU are responsible, not the experts who "helped you." Nice find- I've forwarded that to a few people. I'm wondering if religion also plays a part in this? I have noticed that a larger percentage of the more "God fearing" folks are more likely to say "fuck it" and carry on with life while those who are more on the atheist side are demanding full protection from the government for eternity...Yes there are a lot of exceptions on either side... But that has been my general observation.

Maybe I'm wrong- but I do think that the more secular our society becomes the more the individual wants to feel like they can control all aspects of their lives- and so long as everybody follows the protocols and remains in their basement, they are safe (from the virus, not the economic fall-out.)

If you don't believe you will be saved by the ever-loving sky fairy then you need to evaluate the facts as best you can and come to a decision. My best guess is that governments around the world will end up going for a stealth herd-immunity strategy, while pretending that's not what they are doing.
