Yeah, that was going to be exhibit B. He took a bit of flack for it and pleaded innocent at the time but I think it was kinda genius of him to work it into the story. If you remove Jar Jar and all the kiddie stuff with Anakin Phantom’s not such a bad movie.

It's funny how it was fashionable to shit on them, poor bastards had no idea how bad things were going to get. The prequels are a million times better than anything released after.
