In my wildest dreams I'm still hoping against hope that when Knapp retires from the telly, he will take the weekend slots on MITD. That would really give C2C a run for the money. The only reason I'm still a Coast insider is to get my 1 or 2 a month Knapp shows.

I've been listening to Schrader for years as well, since around 2007. Its been fun to see him grow as a broadcaster and interviewer over time.  Some of those early shows were a bit rough around the edges, but there were real diamonds too! I think he has a real chance with MITD to stretch his wings and really do some truly great shows.  The Bob Gimlin interview the other night was a classic.

Was the email he read on-air a Parashare experience?

Knapp is a real award winning journalist, not a simple host. His reporting on the Bob Lazar story in the 1980's brought the existence of Area 51 into the public consciousness.  He has more 'paranormal credentials' than almost anybody in radio.

I think it just depends on the guest. Playing a little friendly devils advocate is always good, but if they seem sincere and their story is compelling, dive into the crazy with them.  Wade neck deep into the weird and let the listeners try to suss it out. 

If however, the guest seems insincere, vague and you feel like they are just spinning a tall-tale to hock a book or event, by all means, challenge them.

I like the 'fringe.'  It's where all the fun happens, out there in the darkness at the edge of town.
