Well this has been fun. I'm going to slide on outta here now, put of the replay of the basketball game and listen to a little podcasted Alex Jones as I drift off to visit Morpheus.

'Night all!

The smarts are in them. They just haven't completed Typing 101 at the home yet.

There's a difference between a typo and brain death.

Well thankfully here isn't the totality of radio listeners. I mean I'm a huge JBW fan but even he puts me to sleep almost a quarter of the time. So this... No dice. If Heather can get her shit together, address all the Bellgab accusations head on without cowering and crying, stop modulating her voice, stop with the BS... etc etc (very long list) I still say she wins over Schrader. I don't see how this, in this format with this host, can improve.

Nah. Too much Kool-Ade fer you.

There are almost 450 people in this thread right now.  Good job showing up to support each other and give the show a chance bellgabbers!!

I'm genuinely impressed.

I can't believe I'm in here. It seems like years since I've done this.

I'd say they'd want to stick with the spark of the Red Eye guys even with their asinine topics as to not be sued by people falling asleep at the wheel. This has managed to be more dry than John Batchelor.

John Batchelor is incredible.

Red Eye is one long commercial break interrupted by brief clips of a show. I find it unlistenable.

I hate that word, impactful. I have a feeling that until recently it wasn't a word at all.  ::)

Use in a sentence:

"I hope something impactful doesn't happen to my bowels."

It's legit. And if you don't want to download it, you can join through their website.

It's easy enough to poke your nose in and check it out. You don't have to create an account. Just don't enter your email address when it asks you to.

I haven't been in here for a very long time - and I'm not really in here now. My cursory observation is that this thread has been substantially depopulated. That's a shame. Oh well.

Does anyone know what is up with the OSOM archives on KCAA?
Both the May3 and May 4 shows are up but the have great deal of digital noise (a chirping and clipping sound) and last night has only 40 plus minutes of show.

How to you spell god awful? Free but unlistenable. That's just swell.

They need to get it right henceforth and repost those first two shows.

BTW - I've missed being a real time participant, but have had to opt for more proper sleep in the pursuit of feeling better. So far it isn't working very well.

Ha. Gerald Bull. How come nobody mentions the 'supergun' attempt when it comes to Saddam WMD? One would think some Bush apologist would at least throw that out there as proof that, even if we didn't find any/much WMD, there was proof he wanted them and was planning....now for the $64K question: who assassinated him?

Was that a supergun or a plumbing supply yard?

It's unacceptable to me and obviously the droves of people that have canceled their subscriptions to amateur hour. I'm glad you accept mediocrity so easily.

Why pay to support the show when you can come in here and bitch for free.

Do y'all see why it is that in days of yore, in the radioland that the Internet forgot, they didn't give just anyone access to a microphone hooked up to a big transmission tower? Because they never imagined that there could be an audience for crap like this, that people would actually sit around talking about it, and that some person named MV (or whoever) could actually make money off the whole thing.

Boy, were those guys dumb. No imagination, none whatsoever.

Technology has democratized the above metioned media. This is what you end up with. I'm good with it.

Any's last night was NYE to cut costs. No more news. See HauntedSkeptic.com

Thank you for this, GS. I've been there and now consider myself informed.

It's a shame though. I liked the news breaks and her quirkiness.

Good evening, all!

I noticed the break times are different tonight. Also, isn't Amy missing? Was there any announcement on this? Was she really there and I spaced out thru it? Anything is possible I suppose.

Having received the education of a mathematics prodigy that which I have not retained over the decades is astounding.

What I have retained is the ability to think for myself!

It's a trend that I've noticed and it bothers me. Maybe I did not articulate it well, but here are some examples of what I was referring to:

https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/wired-success/201407/anti-intellectualism-and-the-dumbing-down-america

from article:
There is a growing and disturbing trend of anti-intellectual elitism in American culture. It’s the dismissal of science, the arts, and humanities and their replacement by entertainment, self-righteousness, ignorance, and deliberate gullibility.

Susan Jacoby, author of The Age of American Unreason (link is external), says in an article in the Washington Post, "Dumbness, to paraphrase the late senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, has been steadily defined downward for several decades, by a combination of heretofore irresistible forces. These include the triumph of video culture over print culture; a disjunction between Americans' rising level of formal education and their shaky grasp of basic geography, science and history; and the fusion of anti-rationalism with anti-intellectualism."

http://www.globalresearch.ca/the-dumbing-down-of-america-by-design/5395928

The most obvious example of how Americans have been dumbed down is through this nation’s failed public education system. At one time not that long ago America reigned supreme as a leading model for the rest of the world providing the best quality free public K-12 education system on the planet. But over the last many decades while much of the rest of the world has been passing us by, it seems an insidious federal agenda has been implemented to condition and brainwash a population of mindless, robotic citizenry that simply does what it’s told, and of course the brainwashing commences early in America’s schools.

The oligarchs are counting on a dumbed down population too busy addicted to their video games or watching sports or Kim Kardashian’s latest wardrobe malfunction to even notice that a longtime oligarch eugenics plan is already well underway.

http://www.infowars.com/newly-discovered-eighth-grade-exam-from-1912-shows-how-dumbed-down-america-has-become/

ust check out some of the questions from the eighth grade exam that was discovered.  Do you think that you could correctly answer these?…

-Through which waters would a vessel pass in going from England through the Suez Canal to Manila?

-How does the liver compare in size with other glands in the human body?

-How long of a rope is required to reach from the top of a building 40 feet high to the ground 30 feet from the base of a building?

-Compare arteries and veins as to function. Where is the blood carried to be purified?

-During which wars were the following battles fought: Brandywine, Great Meadows, Lundy’s Lane, Antietam, Buena Vista?

A copy of the exam is posted below.  Today, it would be a real challenge for many college students to correctly answer most of these questions correctly…

Most kids today (teenagers through millenials) have the attention span of a gnat. They are obsessed with their iphones and video games. I say most, because of course not all are like that, but sadly enough of a majority. I see a trend that I predict will get worse, if it ever rectifies itself. I don't know how many people saw this, but about a week and a half ago, the Kimoji (Kim Kardashian's app for iphone) broke sales records and almost crashed the Apple store. That's how popular with today's kids the queen of dumb is. What does that say about them?

I just read the law at the link.  I have nothing to fear.

And he won't sue me, but he will prosecute me?

How drunk are you?

Prosecute me for saying it's ridiculous to think that a man who's being shot at and gets a call from a guy promising to slaughter his whole family wouldn't file an official police report?

Prosecute me?  He can't.  Only a prosecutor can do that.  And, maybe you haven't noticed, so let me point out something. Art Bell is the biggest claim to fame of Pahrump, Nevada.  He's the BMOC of that one horse town.  And the cops in Pahrump don't even believe his stories.

They said there's no evidence to back up his claims and the investigation is closed.  That's polite cop talk for "Stalker?  Shootings?  Yeah, right, Art, whatever you say..."

372 (and counting) posts in a week? You desperately need to seek a life, dude.

I'm glad this thread isn't about me!

If it makes anyone feel better, I often don't understand my "mind altered" posts.

Thank MV for the ignore function, right?

I certainly hope Art didn't quit BellGab because of my drunken insanity.  Doubt it, but hey if he did the I'll take the bright side that I'm somehow an influential person.

I hope Art gets whatever is going on sorted out and comes back, both to this swirling cesspool of insanity known as BellGab and to the Airwaves/Intar-tubes.

That is all, carry on Art!

If posting here saves you from drunk dialing I suppose it's worth it.

On second thought, you should try drunk dialing. Start with old girl friends and your current employer.
