Wow...  Pretty rough, but I've felt that way before.  On the other hand, I think I may renew my subscription and see how this runs.  I'm sure Art is going to have a hand in programming, and those folks who want to be heard on an alternative forum from C2C will still want to come on here as a First Choice.  Even though I'm a tough cookie when it comes to content, I think I'll give her a reasonable chance.  6 months x 5 bucks...I can swing it!

That's why as a paying subscriber, I feel that having the advertisements removed from the podcasts that are available to me are worth it for now.  I know, I know.  I can stream it for free right now...if I'd get off my ass.  Maybe later.  However, the greatest blow to the enjoyment of this show could be an exponential increase of listeners leading to a very remote chance to interact with the host.  It was good to get in a few times and have a short talk.  When I can't get through, I'll probably just go the free route.  These situations crop up more often....kind of a quickening, I guess.  Organically, things flow...

Oh wait.  I remember the time that an alien ghost came to me in the forest, disguised as a chipmunk, who told me that we have to save the planet and start loving one another or it's curtains for us.  We've got to get aware to save the planet....or buy more from the advertisers...or watch more t.v......or listen to more 'alternative' broadcasts.

Just sayin'....  Seems like every 4-5 years there's some 'takeover' threat aired to the public.  Could you draw a comparison between aliens taking over and a comet striking the earth, or rapture, or planet x, or blah, blah.  Has ANYONE on this forum had contact with a 'hubred'?  As the Amazing Randi would suggest, all of the evidence seems just out of reach, and the claims seem so convincing.

Thanks, for the fresh air.  It seems that Art was selling himself with the "Fight the Power" credo after the SirusXm debacle, which I thought was fine.  But now....but now, going terrestrial and encouraging folks who are supporting them with their hard earned dollars (Yes, I am one) to pick up the phone and demand PD's pick up his show.  Hell, I still download George Knapp shows on C2C from a guy on youtube....FOR FREE.  What am I paying for?  What's going to stop someone with a rotating youtube account from doing the same thing when this show goes backward to regular radio?  For sixty bucks a year, I can find other things to spend my money on.  Honestly, I feel a little used and tooled here.  Some of the previous responses to my post seem more at home on the C2C 'insider' chat-room.  I'll try to speak to this issue on the phone with Art.

Something that really bothered me about GN was the ancillary moneymaking actions.  TV show, touring, books, "Insiders", etc......  This really got me down.  I've been listening to AB since 92 or so.  So happy about the guests and quality of sound.  I subscribe....happily.  However, I'm getting the feeling that some other people are in control...and they want to get paid......   Any thoughts?

Something else I failed to speak on is if this show goes out over the airwaves, it's bound to be recorded and distributed to folks at no cost.  C2C is recorded and distributed every day....for free!  So, if this happens, perhaps I should let slip my subscription.  Why's he doing this anyway?  Seems to me that he was talking about getting away from the terrestrial audience in the first place.  If this starts smelling like a money grab..........

Well, as long as I'm paying (and I don't plan on quitting anytime soon), I'm not interested in promoting the station on terrestrial AM stations.  Dollars to doughnuts that the quality of the sound won't be nearly as good as what I get online.  'Nuff said.

As soon as the name "Ed Dames" came out of Burroughs' mouth, I took about 10 steps back.  Call me crazy, but uttering the ED just smashed his credibility and made me think wild thoughts of "Coattail rider".  Not hating, but JB should have known that the moment he aligned himself with 'that guy', he'd better produce something substantial, e.g. some documentation that the RV had seen what happened in 1980.  If it was from a peck of declassified CIA files, why not present them for posting prior to the show.  I'm afraid this doesn't pass the smell test, not to mention the 'Oh. By the way, it's the end of our planet' business.  I don't want to hate, as I feel JP's story is legit, I just can't let this one go.  It's up to the audience to help keep things clean.  Honestly, no disrespect, but this really gets my cables in a bunch!

Just saw some "Art" work and realized that Art hasn't put up any recent photos.  I might guess that he's a little shy about that, but hey Art, let's see see you now.  Case in point:  I always see photos of DeeJays that are 20-40 years old.  That's not real, or natural.  Hell, the new Bond Girl is 50 years old!  I'm over 50 now and not worried about how I look (not saying that Art is worried about how he looks either), so please Art, it's a new chapter in your career....let's see you now!   BTW....The sound quality is SO FANTASTIC with the majority of SKYPE callers.  There isn't a worldwide radio show that touches it! 

But actually...

There's another version which includes a scream from 'The Creature', and also some ancillary sound effects (e.g. a person breathing heavily and footsteps through 'The Woods).  I'm still looking to update this one, but that other version is truly golden.
